Water splattering all over the place

Children can’t hide from its worldwide reign

But there stood a girl with an unpainted face

She stood firm and straight; she showed a glint of pain

Alongside the street she watched them all play

Hand in hand they run in the blistering rain

But still the girl stood and continued to watch

Not minding the joy she misses so much

The girl stood there patiently as if she was waiting

Waiting for a miracle? Or waiting for nothing?

Just as when she was about to lose hope

She saw something peculiar she had a glint of hope

He boy was a dazzle he was content with what he had

He was naughty in one way but never was bad

His stubbornness annoyed her; she grew very fond

Twas all she knew, they formed a stronger bond

But the girl had to stay away from the boy

She didn’t want him to cry nor be just her toy

She pushed him away; but his stubbornness reigned

He wanted to help her, he felt her pain

This is my first poem, I hope you guys will like it. It has a second part which I am also posting later. It's got a story, well, I guess every poem does. Well leave your comments and tell me what you guys think, I'll be happy to accept any critics from other poets out there :))
