Maya
I woke up to laughing.
"Ugh" I frowned, struggling to open my eyes, the blur started to fade.

"Oh what are we gonna do with you!".
I looked forward to see Shawn, hovering above me.
"What happened?".
"You got knocked out" he shrugged,"apparently you were winning the fight".
"Fight?".
"Y-yeah, that Zay kid told me all about it".
"Yeaaaah" I sat up,"I'm big and strong".
"Well now you have a souvenir to show for it" he brought up a mirror.
My left eye was red and bloodshot whilst around it was tinted purple and blue.
"Hahahaha" I faked.

Lucas
I was nervous, very nervous.

I hadn't slept again, from guilt.

I wanted to apologise, but at the same time I wanted to run.

Zay stood up straight and knocked on the door. Shawn answered with a smile.
"Zay!" He stepped aside,"come in".
"Would you mind if we go see Maya?" He asked rubbing his hands together.
"She's where she always is".
He seemed cheery.

I caught up to Zay,"what did you do?".
"I had to lie, for your sake".

Babineaux knocked on the door.
A short blonde answered, her curly hair falling down onto her shoulders, with one bruised eye... She was still very....
Stop it Lucas
She silently stepped aside, letting us in.
Her intense eyes followed me as I walked past.
"How was school?" She asked Zay closing the door.
"It was school" he shrugged.
"Sit" she demanded, sitting in her window sill as we both sat on the bed.
Zay glared at me.
"Look Maya I'm really sorry, I haven't slept all night. I want to try and clear my act up, help myself. I'm really sorry, I said I'd never hurt you and I let you down I'm just really really-".
Giggles came from the window, she was laughing, Zay started to crack up too.
"What? What?".
"Hahurrrr!" She cackled.
"Maya I-".
Suddenly, arms were around me and I could hear her laughing right by my ear.
She sighed happily and looked at me with a smile then turned to Zay.
"Do I at least look hot?" She broke away and did a pose.
"It looks like professional eye shadow!" He smirked.
"I- I don't get it" I looked at her,"I've hurt you".
"Lucas Frair" she put her hands on my shoulders,"you don't need to stress child, me and Zay know how to fix it".
"What? How?".
"By starting over" she smiled and stepped back," Babineaux".
Zay stood and held out his hand,"your really good at sheep riding, I'm Zay".
I stared then took his hand,"I'm Lucas and....thanks".
Zay stepped aside and Maya stood in front of me.
"Hi I'm Maya, you're really cute,you make me happy, you don't pay enough attention to me, we can still be friends, not re-" she paused, she was staring at me.
I stared back.
Maya cleared her throat and held out her hand, I shook it.
She stepped back, Zay moved forward, pushing her.
I went flying backwards.
She looked down at me in shock then rolled off of me.
"ZAY BABINEAUX! YOU JERK!" She grabbed one of her pillows and was chasing him around the room.
And for the first time in a while, I genuinely smiled.

Zay
Maya had a large book in front of her, she was reading through it and muttering.
"Revision?".
"I have to ace these tests" she stressed.
"Okay,okay".

I was halfway towards Farkle when I noticed, Lucas and Riley talking from across the room.
I couldn't help but look at Maya, I had a feeling that there was a possibility-

"Zay!" Lucas started making his way towards me.
"So?" I said.
He raised an eyebrow,"what?".
"So are you two back together?".
"Uh, no" he shook his head,"Riley said she wants to be friends. So we started again, she introduced herself and I introduced myself".
"No falling into your lap?".
"No" he shook his head.
"Are you gonna introduce yourself to Farkle?".
"I did that an hour ago" he shook his head,"seriously man".
I watched as he walked up to Maya, they started laughing. And I heard the once lost array of nicknames with a hint of short-stack.
Things were looking up.
