Kaname's P.O.V. I sat on the futon in the middle of my room, reading a book, trying to clear my mind and relax. I had to focus, something was off, but I couldn't figure out what. The whole day I sensed something coming, I didn't know what, or if it was a potential threat. All I knew is that it was something that couldn't be ignored. As I continue to dwell on it, rapid footsteps were coming closer and closer to my room, until the door opens suddenly. I could tell it was Takuma, even without looking. "Lord Kaname!" He says frantically. I close my book with one hand and look towards him.

"Something happened." I say. It wasn't a question, I knew from the sound of his voice. "Yes, I'm afraid so." He says. "What is it?" I ask staying calm until I knew more. "Your cousin." He says. That was all he needed to say to answer the reason I was on edge today. My jaw locks. "What about her?" I ask, fighting to stay composed. "She's here." He says.

He says a bit fearful. Why is she here? What does she want? So many questions flooded my mind, blocking out the anger I felt from him even mentioning her. I take a deep breath and release before looking back to him. "Where is she?" I ask. Just then, the sound of another pair of footsteps come towards us. Whoever it was had delicate footsteps. Both Takuma and myself were silent, listening to the footsteps as they came closer and closer. I had a feeling I knew who it was. Just then, a dainty looking hand grabs the door frame before Crimson eyes come into view.

"Hello cousin." Is all she says. My eyes narrow slightly. "Kailyn." I say emotionless. She smirks even more, her eyes narrowing as well. "So much enthusiasm. You know Kaname, it wouldn't kill you to be more welcoming, after all, I'm your favorite cousin." She says slowly entering my room, running her pointer finger lightly over my desk. "You're my only cousin." I correct. She chuckles. "All the more proof I'm your favorite." She says. "Not exactly." I say. She narrows her eyes again and glances towards Takuma.
