Cahpter4

Melissa's POV

I woke you to the bright sun shining in my window, and also the sound of the smoke alarm going off through out the house. I quickly got up and ran down the stairs to see Jennie in the kitchen trying to cook what looked like eggs,bacon and toast. I ran over to her and tried to help her.

" What is going on Jen ", asked her as I turned off the stove and started  to clean everything up. " I was trying to cook breakfast for everyone", she said, but I was confused to why she tried to cook when she know how and never tries to. "Jen what's really going on ?", I asked putting my hands on my hips. "Ok fine, I met this amazing guy at the party last night and he said he really likes girls who can cook", she said crossing her arms over her chest.

"God who caught the kitchen on fire ", we heard Jes say as she made her way down the steps. She came in the kitchen to see me and Jen. " Jen why, just why did you have to burn food", Jes said shaking her head. "Oh shut up Jes ", Jen said as she glared at our sister. " Hey at lest I'm not the one who treid to burn us all alive ", Jes said crossing her arms over her chest with a smirk.

"You no what ", Jen said as she started heading towards Jes, but I got in the middle of them both and put my hands up. " Ok thats enough you to , Jen we need to start getting ready for school and Jen same gose for you ", I said as they glared at each other, but agreed and went up the stairs.

Even though I'm the middle child and Jennie is the oldest I still have to stop them from killing each other sometimes.

~At school~

Jackson's POV

I'm so glad today is Thursday, wish it it was Friday already, but willing to wait so I can finally be around my beautiful mate. Ever since I saw her last night at my party I can't stop thinking about her and how much I'm already falling for her .

I would do anything for my mate, and I mean anything. I was at school currently, even though I'm an alpha I still have to act normal considering that half of the town is made up of my pack and the rest are humans. "Hey babe", I heard an all to familiar voice say, as she closed my locker door.

I rolled my eyes in annoys, at Heather the pack slut. " What do you want Heather I'm kinda busy ", I said as I started to turn away from her, but she grabbed my wrist and turned me to look at her. I yanked my hand out her grip, only to have her rap her arms around my neck.

"Oh come on baby, where's all that lust you had for me a few days ago", she said which made me shiver in disgust. I put my hands on her waist to push her away, "Jackson your such a jack ass", I heard my little sister say. I turned my head to see her and my mate staring at me as tears wheeled up in her eyes as she quickly walked away.

Melissa's POV

" See I told you would have fun at the party", Peyton said as she playfully nudged my arm as I laughed. " Yeah it wasn't that bad", I said with a warm smile. We were heading to first period as we rounded the corner, to come and see a hurtful sight. My heart started to ache as it felt as someone just punched me in the chest a hundred times. "Jackson your such a jack ass", Peyton yelled at him as I felt the tears wheel up in my eyes.

I left quickly as I didn't want anyone to see me cry. I heard my name being called, but ignored who ever it was, but know it was him. I went to my first class and sat all the way in the back as I didn't want to be around people at the moment. I imagine played over and over in my head. I was stupid and fullish to ever think he would like me in such a way.

Compared to the girl he was just with, I'm nothing spectacular. I mean she was flawless with he tall figure , and her long curly blond hair, with her fair skin and blue eyes. She looked like a model, to  put in one word. I pulled out one of my notebooks and started to draw not pay any mind to what the teacher was saying.

~ At lunch ~

I decided to go to the library today as I wasn't that hungry and been wanting to see the library ever since i got to this school, but sadly never had the time. I walked in to see one of the most gorgeous and coziest looking libraries I have ever seen. It had a ground level then an up stairs that you could see as it was a big balcony that rapped around the top of the library.

I walked around and looked around and decided to go up the stairs to see how it looked. After looking around I found a nice book to read and found a nice cozy area that had couches and chairs around.

I sat in the chair as it was big enough for two people, and sat my bag on the ground next to me.

Jackson's POV

I got to lunch feeling so stupid and frustrated that I made my mate cry and that Heather thought it was funny. I walked into the lunch room hoping to see or smell my wonderful little mate, but come to see she was no where to be found in the lunch room. I scanned the room to see Peyton, but no Melissa.

I walked over to my sister worry filling me not knowing where my mate was. " Peyton where's Melissa?", I asked her concern lacing my voice a little. " Why should I tell you, so you can make her cry again", my sister said rolling her eyes at me. " I may be your brother, but am still your alpha Peyton and you will respect me", I said as my wolf was getting more frustrated by the second.

She glared at me, " She is in the library, but so help me Jackson Rivers Lockwood, if you hurt her in anyway or make her cry again I will chop off your male parts", she said.  I chuckled nervously rolling my eyes knowing she was being serious. I headed off to the library thinking about my mate the whole time. How no one could compare to her beauty, how sweet and innocent she is, and how smart she is.

I walked into the library to instantly get a whiff of her sweet scent. I looked around until I followed it and it was coming from up stairs. I went up and followed it all the way to a little area that had chairs and couches around. I looked at her to see her fast asleep with a book in her lap as she folded her arms on one of the arms of the big chair she was sitting in, as her hair flowed down her back.

I could watch her sleep forever, but I didn't want to creep her out. I walked closer to her as her scent got stronger and stronger. I tapped her lightly on her shoulder as she started to move and stretch out her arms and legs yawning lightly. She sat up and pushed some of  her hair behind her ear.

Melissa's POV

I woke up to someone lightly tapping my shoulder, me figuring it was probably the librarian telling me the bell run and I had to go. I stretched my arms and legs and sat up crossing my legs and pushing a peace of hair out of my face to see that it was him that woke me up. I turned my gaze as I didn't want to look him in the eyes. " Look I just wanted to say that I'm sorry and that she is nothing to-", he started to say when I cut him off.

" No it's fine Jackson you don't have to apologize to me.. you don't have explain yourself to me. It's fine if you want to be with other girl an things , I don't control what you do...we're just friends I guess , maybe aquatics right know", as I felt more pain in my heart with each word I spoke and had no reason why.

I looked up at him as he was already staring at me. I felt my cheeks heat up as I looked down at my lap. I heard his chair move against the floor as he moved his chair in front of me. I felt him tilt my chin up as sparks jolted through my body. He lifted my head all the way so know our faces were inches apart as my eyes looked with his as I got lost in them.
