Prolouge

West gazed up at the same roof from his bed, that he wakes up to see everyday, his hand still burning from the shot he took the day before. The annoying Humans, who tried to capture him, take him to an experimental facility to work on and see how he is a Human and a Wolf.

Can’t we live in peace?

Of course not, we’re wolves. They’re, Humans.

He hardly knew any wolves, actually. Only one, by the name of, Nialla, his mother. She was took to experiment on when he was just a pup, because, she wanted to save him from the Humans.

            West finally stood.

He slowly un-wrapped the moss he had placed on his hand to prevent infection, and immediately washed the blood from it away at once. Knowing they could track him with just his blood. If they did enter his house. But West knew that would happen someday.

West rinsed his blood crisped hand under the stream of cold water that flowed through his fingers, letting him enjoy it for a while as the dirt slowly washed away from his fingernails, as he never had time to wash his hands before he fell asleep when he rushed home running from the Humans.

Finally, turning off the sink, he dried his hand and walked out of the small room, leaving the house.

Restraining a stretch, since it would show him in wolf form, he spread his body out and walked in the awkward form.

A teenager was running towards his house, while holding only a hot dog and a couple sausages. He gently nudged West by the shoulder and whipped towards him, “Hey! Watch where you’re going!” The teenager hissed through gritted teeth and turned back, running to a small one floor house.

“What was that all about?” West muttered, rolling his eyes slightly. “He was the one that bumped into me.”

Instead of making a big fuss about it, West continued heading towards the Grocers, his mind set on only collecting food today.

Once he walked into the store, his nose immediately swept him towards the meat section. He grinned, ripping a plastic bag out of the roll of bags.

West dropped a ton of slabs of meat inside the bag, at least, what he could afford.

When he had packed a gram of beef, a stick of salami and a packet of hamburgers, he turned to the cashier.

He dropped the bag of meat at the cashier table, the woman looking strangely at him. He mustered a grin, “I love my meat!” He laughed nervously.

“Okay, we get it. Now, can you get a move on?” A guy groaned from the back of the line.

“Yeah. Hold on,” West rolled his eyes.

The cashier handed him the bag and the receipt before calling “Next!”

West dropped the receipt inside the bag and gripped it in his hand, before striding out of the Grocery store and heading for his house.

“Well, well, well.” He heard a harsh voice rasp from behind him, “Look ova’ here, a Wolf.”

The squad… Only they have the high-tech equipment to see that I’m a Wolf.

West didn’t turn around, instead he continued walking.

A muscular, broad shouldered man whipped in front of him, sending him staggering backwards.
