One day, while sitting at lunch, he was feeling, well, watched. Glancing around, trying not to be obvious about it, and he realized that she was there. At the very end of the rectangular lunch table. She was huddled over a book, and her hair hung loose, so he couldn't make out what book it was.

Looking down, he saw that his lunch tray was empty, and, he stood up to empty off the trash. As he walked by her, he looked at the book. It was Shakespeare. Was this girl for real?

"Whatcha doing? Move it!"

With a start he realized that he had been standing there, staring down at her.

"Oh um sorry"

By then the kid that had yelled was already gone, and she, Sally, whoever she was, was slowly glancing up.

Her eyes looking into his as she glanced his way. They were a startling ice blue. He hadn't noticed them before.

"Can I help you?"

Her voice was... Beautiful, in a eerie kind of way. It was soft, gentle, but had a way of sounding much louder than it really was.

"Oh, uh, no... No. But thanks"

And with that he walked away, as fast as he could. He could feel his cheeks start to get red, he never stuttered but he had! Jeez.

That night he kept thinking about her. It was stupid it really was. People like her were not supposed to associate with people like him. It just didn't happen. He was popular, cool, fun. And most of all, he was normal.

She, on the other hand was lonely. He never saw her hanging out with anyone. And she was quiet in the loudest way possible. But that didn't make sense. He was simply thinking crazy.

Soon he had fallen asleep, dreaming about football tryouts, and she was out of his mind.

Soooo... What do you guys think? Leave a comment! I want to get to know some of you. What's going to happen next? Will they talk? Well I'll talk to you all some more but don't be shy! Leave me a comment and I'll probably respond.

Love you all! ~Zoe<3
