Right Around The Corner

Chapter 1:

Rockport Maine was a small town off the coast with just a little over 3,000 people.
Nothing all that interesting happens.
Occasionally the high school football team would play in the finals or someone from Rockport would win the national spelling bee but that's about it.
Crime wise 1-10, the town would be a 1 if it could go any lower it would.
The biggest crime that occurred was a 9 year old who shoplifted a pack of crayons so that she could finish her science project.
So that's why when everyone heard about the news that local high school homeroom teacher, Emily Stome, was murdered and the murder was still on the loose everyone was shocked.
I mean of course people would be shock that's just basic human instincts but for something that big to happen in such a small town was unbelievable.
Mrs Stone's homeroom class were all seated not knowing what to do because as of a couple days ago they officially had no teacher.
Everyone suspected that some people wouldn't show up but no, everyone showed up and were dying to get more information about the sudden death of their teacher.
Principal H. walked in and pulled out a paper and started to read aloud the paper he was given.

"As most of you know a couple days ago Mrs. Stone was found dead in her house, police are still investigating on the sudden death, we will inform you more when we get further details. But we can't put your education on hold because of this. That's why I'm here to announce your new teacher."

The mysterious teacher walked in and grinned as he glanced around the room.

"So shall we began today's lesson!"

"You gotta be kidding us right? I mean our teacher just died and all you care about is starting today's lesson!" Keith Hullins yelled, Keith Hullins was the schools biggest flirt. He practically flirts with any girl he encounters. He's never officially had a real relationship that lasted longer than one night if you know what I mean. His dad was never around, always on business trips, and his mom lived in New York. Even though he's pretty lonely he certainly doesn't show it.

"Why of course Keith, the show must go on right?" He grinned

The class all looked towards the teacher shocked at how he knew who Keith was without even looking at the seating chart.

"Our life isn't one big show so if we need time to grieve I think we should be given the chance."  Ivy Kitle spoke out, Ivy is the type of girl who keeps to herself, she isn't popular, in fact her only friend is a Geeky guy who obsesses over horror movies, she has two older brothers who graduated years ago.

"You've had the whole weekend in fact Mrs. Stone died Friday night which means you had two whole days." The mysterious teacher argued. Most students sat there shocked at how the man new more details about there own teacher than the students themselves.

"Well I'm not gonna listen to a man who's name I don't even know that's suppose to be our teacher." Popular girl Julie Welsh announced. Julie wasn't like most popular girls yeah she had her two best friends that were also popular and she has dated the quarterback in the past but she didn't care about her social status, honestly no one really did and it's not like those stereotypical schools were jocks are friends with jocks and cheerleaders are friend with cheerleaders that's one of the reasons that school was so highly rated in the small 3,000 person town.

"Mr. Rivers, my name is Mr. Rivers, shall we began our lesson now?" Mr. Rivers announced before pulling out the attendance list.

No one said another thing besides of course "here" when your name was called.

"Ivy Kitle"
"Here"
"Keith Hullins"
"Present."
"Julie Walsh."
"Here"
"Isabelle Estal" one of the three most popular girls in the school as well as Julie.
"Here"
"Paige Hunter" another one of the popular girls.
"Here"
"James Faltin" Ivy's best friend who's obsessed with horror movies.
"Here"
"Luke Smith" the quarterback
"Here."
"Kyle Tulkin." A straight a student that is always raising his hand.
"Here"
"Good everyone's here now today coincidentally as it is today we're talking about self defense. Rules are simple any volunteers?"

"There's no way I'm letting you touch me." Isabelle mentioned when she noticed Mr Rivers looking in her direction.

Suddenly the bell rang which meant the kids were free from there creep of a teacher. A voice rang over the announcements saying
"Due to lack of focus and participation school has been dismissed early, come back tomorrow ready to learn."
The students eventually all made there way home still in disbelief that there teacher is gone.
Most kids were gonna spend this day at home with loved ones when Isabelle Eastle decided to change that she sent a mass text to everyone in school that was a Junior...

Let's celebrate the good times at my place 2night be there, bring drinks and I'm not talking about sodas ;)

Great a party, with alcohol, at the popular girls house, by the coastline, only a couple days after there teacher was murdered, and the same person who murdered there teacher was still on the loose...
What could go wrong.
