I put on the mascara thinking maybe he will look at me once.

It's hard getting noticed when you're ugly. Oh I forgot, I didn't introduce myself.

Hey! I'm Issabella Chase. I'm a sophomore in St.Teresa.I live with my single dad and my five year old brother Matt.

Life has been hard ever since mom left when I was eleven. I don't really know why she left. All she said was she didn't have any love for my father anymore. Okay, I can't think about this now or else I'm gonna be late to school.

I take my bookbag on the chair and head out the door. I have been late many times. To be honest at this point, I didn't really care anymore. We had five days of school left until summer start-

"Bella!" I hear a scream and footsteps from behind as if someone is trying to catch up with me.

It was Olivia, Olivia Huntington. My one and only best friend. Her life was perfect.

Only child of the biggest businessman in this town, girlfriend of the basketball captain and she was absolutely gorgeous with her blonde hair and blue eyes.

On the other hand, there was me. Plain poop color eyes with common dark brown hair. Olivia was opposite of me and I think that's what made us so close. We have been friends since I walked into this school.

"Why didn't you reply to my texts today?" She asks when she catches up

"Sorry, I had to take care of Matt," I lied.

Lately I haven't been in the mood for anything. I'm in that stage in life where the answer to everything is I don't know.

"Soooo, how was the date last night with Beck? Did you guys um.." I smirked

Her cheeks became the color of tomato in seconds.

"OLLIVIIAA, so you did! Tell me everything!" I screamed.

Olivia wasn't a virgin but it was still a big deal to her. She regrets losing it in a party last year with one of her exes. He was a douche bag.

"Shhh, there's a lot of people here. I will tell you later, we're gonna be late to class if we don't go. Bye!" She gives me a hug and goes to the other side of the hall to catch her.

I know she's making me wait because I didn't text her yesterday. Oh wow, she will tell me either way.

I walked in my first period. The first thing I notice was him.

Kane Johns.

The guy who made my heart stop beating when I saw him.

The one that makes me forget how to breath when we made eye contact.

Yeah, I know I have it bad.

To him, I was invisible. He wasn't your typical guy.

He was in the school basketball team also known as the popular group. But he wasn't like other guys. He kept to himself and his friends mostly. He was shy around girls. He barely spoke to girls. The one thing he loved was basketball. He was crazy about it.

Like I was about him.
