Chapter eleven

Hey guys. I am so sorry for making you wait! I have no excuse, since this chapter has been finished for months. Here it is, though. I hope you enjoy it. I can't promise when the next part will be out, but hopefully soon!

                 

Louis stormed out of the hospital, angry. He was going to find Simon and make him pay for this. He stormed outside, not even realising Harry was following him. 'Lou! What happened?' Harry asked, catching up to Louis.

'I'm going to kill Simon!'Louis was not planning on stopping for anyone.

'You can't kill Simon, Lou. You'll go to jail.'

'I don't care.'

'Lou!' Harry yelled, grabbing Lou's shoulder and holding him in a stop. 'You need to be free to help Niall. He needs you.'

'Simon made sure he didn't. Simon did hit him because I came over that night. Niall said something about being a naughty boy. He has scared the shit out of him. He doesn't want me anywhere near him. He panicked when he saw me, Harry. His dad had to hold him down to try and calm him down.'

Louis broke down, then, sitting down on a small wall. Harry sat down with him and began rocking the feathered haired boy back and forth. 'It's okay, just let it out. You're okay.'

'Why us? Why him?' Louis asked between sobs.

'I don't know, Lou. Simon is psycho. I can't explain why he has done this. But you guys will get through it. I know you. You're a strong couple. You're meant to be together.'

'I hope you're right. I want things back to normal. I want Niall to be happy again.'

'Niall! Are you okay?' Maura asked when she noticed Niall beginning to wake up again. Niall had passed out when Louis left, due to his panicking.

'What happened?' he asked, groggily.

'You passed out,' Bobby said. 'When you were freaking out over Louis.'

Niall's heart rate increased again. 'Is he here?'

'No. He left,' Maura said. 'But what's wrong with him? Louis has not left the hospital since you got in here, besides tonight.'

'I-I don't want to say. I am a naughty boy. Naughty boy!' Niall repeated to himself and began slapping himself.

Bobby grabbed Niall's hands. 'What are you doing?!' he asked his son, horrified.

'Punishing myself. If I punish myself, maybe Simon won't. I shouldn't have seen Louis.'

'You don't have to punish yourself, sweetie,' Maura said, equally as horrified. 'Is that why your bottom was bruised? Did he punish you?'

Niall nodded. He got his hands back from his dad and began hitting himself again. 'He punished me for seeing Louis. That's why if I do it now, he hopefully won't. It hurts when he used the belt.'

'Is that why you tried to –' Maura couldn't finish the sentence as Bobby grabbed his hands again.

'Stop touching my hands, dad! Leave me alone!'

'Maura, can you please go tell the doctor we need help stopping him from harming himself?' Bobby asked. He felt bad asking and he could see in his wifes eyes that she didn't want that to happen, either, but they didn't have a choice. Niall was going to hurt himself if he had the chance.

Maura nodded and began walking out the room. Niall started struggling, understanding what will happen. 'No! Please! Don't do that!' he screamed. He was pulling his arms, trying to get them back. 'Please, I won't hurt myself. Please don't restrain me.' Tears were flooding his face.

Bobby had tears in his eyes, too. He wanted to trust Niall, but he couldn't. 'I'm sorry, Niall. I can't trust you.'

The doctor and nurse came in then, both holding a strap each. Niall was struggling with all his might, then as Maura followed them in, barely holding herself together.

'Okay, Niall, I am just going to give you a sedative. It won't hurt a bit.'

Niall was shaking his head, violently. 'No! Please no!' he was sobbing. The needle went in easily and all the four people had to do was wait until it set in. Soon enough Niall was asleep and the nurse was able to restrain his wrists to the bed rails.

The doctor turned to his parents, who were comforting each other. 'This is the best thing for Niall. If he is trying to hurt himself, still, we may have to consider moving him into a home until he is better. It sounds like he has severe depression and anxiety. Once he's on medication he can go home. This is the right thing we're doing for him.' The doctor smiled a tight smile at the worried parents before leaving the room with the nurse.

Maura and Bobby looked at their peaceful son before leaving the room, feeling too guilty about the restraints.

Out in the waiting room, Zayn and Perrie were sleeping on each other, Perrie's head on Zayn's shoulder, while Zayn's head was on Perrie's head. Liam smiled slightly seeing them sleeping. They'd been here an hour and he was thinking of going to sleep. When he saw Niall's parents, however, he stood up straight away, rushing to them. He saw their expressions and was immediately worried.

'What happened?' he asked, being engulfed in a hug from Maura.

'Niall is not himself right now, Liam. We had to sedate him and restrain his wrists. He kept trying to hurt himself, hoping your awful boss wouldn't.'

'Simon?' Liam asked. Now he felt worse. He was the one who left Niall there by himself that day.

'That's him. Why does Simon want to do this to our boy?' Maura asked, looking up at Liam.

'He is a homophobic asshole, that's why,' Liam said, angrily. 'I suppose he thought Niall would have been the easiest to break out of him and Louis and targeted Niall. He kidnapped him, so that we'd all come get him, then forced us back to his company. Then he forced Niall and Louis away from him, making Niall get his own place. On the day of the... Incident that ended Niall in here, Simon messaged me, saying that he wanted to speak to Niall. He told me to leave and that Niall will call me when they've finished. Like an idiot I listened, until Louis realised that he was probably being punished because Louis went to my house the night before and saw Niall. I picked him up and took him to his new house. When he sat down in my car, his face showed the pain, but he lied to me and said he slept on his back wrong. Then Louis called the police and reported the kidnapping. Simon was picked up for questioning, so we went to pick Niall up to take him to make his statement. Louis was the one who found him in the bathtub.'

'Thank you for looking after Niall when he needed you most. He's going to need his friends now more than ever. They want to admit him into a mental health hospital,' Bobby said.

'Oh really? Of course we'll be there for Niall,' Zayn said, joining the conversation. Liam nodded, half smiling. He was still blaming himself for Niall being here. If he hadn't left Niall alone with Simon, he wouldn't have been abused.

'We'll definitely be there,' Liam said, planning on making it up to Niall by being with him, every step of the way to his recovery.
