My plan had to be thought out; I mean really thought out, no flaws or slip-ups. I had been doing this way too long to get caught now. Katie wasn't just some young, stupid girl or a runaway with no home, family or friends that would come looking for her. See Kate still had a mother that she talked to from time to time, and even friends that she worked with down at the Library. I had to make sure they didn't get suspicious and want to come looking for her. Katie's mother knew where we lived, and that was it. Like I said before it was pretty secluded around here, not many people drove out this way or took these roads. I was thinking that if I told them a solid lie, then that will buy me a few weeks and then by that time I would be long gone. The advantages of being “well off” are that I can easily get my name changed, a new passport, new birth certificate, and basically a whole new life. I hadn't had to do all of that yet, but I was sensing that after Katie was dead, I may have needed to go into hiding.
I had gotten on my computer to search for different ways to torture a person. I was new to this and I really had no clue on how to go about it. My screen was currently displaying the body of a badly decomposed woman that had been murdered by her boyfriend and thrown into a ditch. A beautiful site I must say. It took them weeks before anyone had found her, and he was quickly arrested. Amateur. Not everyone is meant to master the art of killing; some just don't have that...skill. I drifted off thinking about the upcoming work that I would have to do. There is a lot of preparation when it comes to torturing and killing someone.
She turned my chair around so that it was facing her. She then sat down on my lap with her legs hanging off one side and her arms wrapped around my neck tightly.
"Hey," she said as she kissed me softly.
"Hey babe," I said nervously, hoping she wouldn't ask me questions about what I was doing.
"So watcha doing?" She said immediately asks, as if reading my mind.
"Oh nothing, just checking the football scores." I responded quickly trying to come up with a good lie. She looked at me and I flashed her a smile.
I picked her up and she immediately wraped her legs around my waist. I carried her to the couch, momentarily stopping to kiss her lips. I then laid her down and positioned myself so that I was lying on top of her. I kissed her deeply and she moaned lightly.
"So I know your birthday is tomorrow."
"Yes it is," she responded while watching me.
"Well, I was thinking of maybe taking you to that new restaurant you wanted to check out. We could go tonight if you want." I had absolutely no intentions of taking her there but it was a way that I could distract her. She would never see my attack coming. I saw excitement wash over her face as soon as I said it. My plan was falling into place, really well.
"Aww, that’s so sweet baby. I would love that so much, you’re the best boyfriend ever!" She said and then kissed me deeply. Hey what can I say, it’s the charming face and smile. People can’t get enough of it.
"Thank you," I said, while picking her up and taking her to the bedroom, to finish what we started.
Well tonight was the night. I was going to set everything in motion. I just had one more thing to do; make sure her mother and friends are out of the way. Katie’s phone was on the coffee table and I picked it up and put it into my pocket.
I slowly made my way up the stairs. Katie was standing in the bathroom, looking at herself in the mirror. She turned when she saw me and I grabbed her around her neck and slammed her face into the mirror. My hands made their way to her hair, and she screamed out in pain. The blood seeped from her head and left small droplets on the floor, as I began to drag her through the hall. Her screams were like fuel to a fire and I particularly ran down the steps, loving the sound her body made as it hit each step. Once I made it to the door of the basement, I grabbed the knob and opened it quickly. I made sure my grip on her was tight; I couldn't let her get away from me now. I pulled her inside slamming the door behind me. Her screams echoed loudly throughout our house. I laughed a little on the inside, I mean who as going to hear her?
