Chapter 3: It just means you're special baby girl
“Oh my god! Why are you here? When you’d guys get to California?” I squeal looking continuously back and forth from Sam to Olivia. I haven’t been in the same state as them for nearly two years! We still talk and like text all the time, more so lately than ever, but it’s such a surprise to see them in person.
“We’re both going to UCSD!” Sam squeals happily pulling me into a hug, Olivia quickly joining us. I pull back a smile still implanted onto my face.
“Are you serious?” I ask incredulously, still flabbergasted that they’re even here.
“Yes, I’m serious!” She says bouncing slightly on the balls of her feet. Sam’s always been the overly excited one, and clumsy. She dresses kind of goth punky, even more so than Taylor. Now that I think of it, they’re a bit similar, although I think Sam is a bit-or a lot- more excitable. She’s also extremely clumsy and very good at falling over herself.
Olivia’s just extremely girly, the exact opposite of Sam, really. She’s always been quiet and super shy, but something weird about her, is that she is always dressed up, right now she looks like she’s about to go to a photo shoot, honestly. She has on a pink baby doll dress that lands mid-thigh and a pair of at least five inch heels.
“So who is this?” Sam asks slyly pointing to Noah, and from the looks of it she’s eye raping him, not that I blame her, but it’s kind of awkward.
“Duh Sam! He’s Noah, Payton’s boyfriend!” Olivia says in a ‘duh’ voice, hitting Sam upside the head, forcing her to take her eyes from Noah’s body.
“Oh.” Sam says seemingly upset. Again I do not blame her.
“Where are you guys staying?” I question, worried that they don’t have a place to stay.
“Oh we’re living on campus.” Olivia explains and I nod. “Well we better be going, it’s nearly seven thirty, we’ll meet up another time, I’ll text you, okay?”
“Okay great!” I say as they both give me one last parting wave, before walking out of the apartment.
“Well that was interesting.” Noah comments, and I laugh, Olivia and Sam definitely are interesting people.

I’m sitting cross legged on the couch reading the new issue of seventeen, when Noah comes in shirtless. I look up long enough to admire his abs then go back to my reading, taking longing glances at his chest every few minutes. It’s kind of my fault that he’s shirtless since I stole the shirt he was wearing today, because obviously I wanted to wear it, which I am, along with a pair of blue boxer shorts. I look back down to my magazine, and automatically flip the page when I see the title to the one I was on previous, “How to Know if he’s Cheating” which Noah is obviously not, since we’re literally together at least twenty hours a day, sometimes more.
After quickly eating his dinner, which was two hot pockets, Noah comes into the living room lying down on the couch with his head on my lap, I put my magazine down, knowing I’m not going to be able to get any reading done with Noah here. I turn the T.V on, smiling when I see that ‘The Vampire Diaries’ is on. I drop the remote, and Noah lets out a groan.
“Do we have to?” He whines like the little five year old he is.
“Yes we do Noah, now hush this is my favorite episode.” I tell him and he rolls his eyes and says, “they’re all your favorite episode.”
