"Callie?"

I'm halfway to the door when I hear my professor call my name. "Yes, professor?" I say walking over to his desk.

"I'm sure your aware about the optional photography assignment, so I'm not going to enlighten you about the details. Have you given any thought about doing it?"

"Yes, professor I have put a lot of thought into my decision, but this assignment may be a little too...deep for me."

He gives me a confused look. "How so Callie?"

" professor, this assignment is about taking photographs of something you couldn't live without, a necessity of life. My life. I'm sorry, but I can't think of anything I that feeling towards except the cliché things like family, or oxygen." I laugh off the thought ever doing a project that predictable.

"Callie your work is spectacular, I have found my self getting excited to see what you turn in next because of the originality of your photographs." He pauses for awhile, as if he is giving me a chance to respond. I don't, I can't I'm speechless, I was never called spectacular before.

I try to let out a "thank you," but my professor cuts me off. "Callie I'm going to challenge you to do this assignment. You never know what fate may bring you. We all have something that we can't bare to let go of, something that's apart of us. I have confidence in you that you will find your inspiration and I look forward to see what it is." He grabs his briefcase and walks out the door.

My mind is every where. How am I supposed to complete this ridiculous project. I have no inspiration, motivation, or the decency to care about it. I stop in front of my dorm door and rest my head on it. My exhaustion level is at the point where I've lost all my common sense. This results in me unlocking the door and walking in on Ally eating this guy's face. She doesn't even bother to look up. I give her credit to the amount of dedication she puts into it. I roll my eyes while closing the door. I try to walk silently to the bathroom, but I'm spotted by the guy. I stop in my tracks and he stops as well, confusing Ally.

"Babe we were just getting started why did you st--," she looks in the direction he is having a annoyed face when she sees me.

"Oh Callie I didn't know you were here..." I give a sarcastic smile to Ally, and try to introduce myself to the boy. I  fail in doing so when I look at him more clearly...we've already met.

I take out the note from this morning hold it up in front of Ally.

" I see you've met Brandon." I say laughing

Ally looks clueless. "Who is Brandon, and why are you shoving a piece of paper in my face?"

I look at Brandon amused. "That's Brandon. The one you are currently on top of."

"Wait y'all know each other?" Ally questions

I begin to talk, but I'm cut off by Brandon.

"Briefly, we didn't get a chance to properly introduce ourselves." He says low and amused.

"Well It seems like I interrupted you intruding yourself to Ally, so I'll let you guys continue." I walk to the bathroom and close the door. I take a shower to let the water drown out the moans coming from the other room.

I open the door on both of them sleeping. Ally resting her head on Brandon's stomach and Brandon's head turned sideways. I walk to my bed, lay down and turn my head towards Brandon. I find myself looking at him, mesmerized at the sight. I must have been seeing things in the darkness because I find Brandon's eyes open and begin to think those eyes are on me. Everything in my body is telling me to turn around, but I can't my eyes are locked with his. His body shifts towards my direction, making Ally face-plant onto the sheets. I smile without breaking contact. He does the same...Something forms in my stomach when I see his smile. The feeling butterflies inside me. The moment seems to last forever just me and him looking deep into each other's eyes, not saying a word yet telling everything about each other. I didn't want it to end, in fact I began to want more than gazing.

This feeling snaps me out out of my daze. My smile fades away and I turn around quickly facing the other direction regretting what just happened. I pull my sheets over my head forcing myself go to sleep.

The last thing I remember hearing is a soft laughter from Brandon and him whispering "nice to meet you Callie."
