After school I walked home in the bone cold winter of -23°. I wrapped my white scarf around me tighter and shielded my eyes from the cold snow hitting my vampire colored skin. You'd be super lucky if you ever got a nice tan in Anneau. Shivering I kept on trudging through the 2 1/2 feet of snow as my eyes focused by the snowy Erman birch trees. A faint white glow made out a figure that simile looked like a man but also,... Wings? No. I told myself. It had to be a large snowy owl. And the glow is probably the glare of the sun. But the longer I looked the more convinced I was that I was seeing an angel was standing before me. Quickening my pace I ran to an opening of an alleyway so I could get a view of what was happening without being seen. The white glow got brighter then started to die down and I can make out a shimmering boy then a strange warm wind began to pick up around the bird-man. My short ruffled blonde hair moved around my cheeks like tendrils as the last gust of air moved through the snowy city. A sound like a low humming vibrated through the ground and all of a sudden it stopped. But by now people were coming out of their houses wondering what was happening. Some went out in the middle of the street expecting more but there were none after The last humming noise. I looked around once again shielding my silver eyes from the seemingly brighter snow.
"You'll get used to it after a while." I whipped my head around to see a quite large snowing owl perched on top of a street lamp post. I mean this I will was the size of a full-grown ape. After seeing and experiencing all of the things I did I was not as shocked as a normal person would be. But still I questioned the large owl who just telepathically spoke to me.
"Did you just say that? You know in my head? I don't think I have room for another conscience talking to me besides my own." I spoke out loud.
"Yeah, actually I did." The male's voice said.
"I'm Thayer. But you can call me The-Great-and-powerful-Thayer-the-Slayer." Thayer's light green eyes seemed to gleam and smirk at me.
" I will be your guardian for now on. That is all. See you tomorrow. Thayer spread his wings and flew over and away south. Before the owl couldn't be seeing over the horizon a bright light shone then disappeared. 'I had a crazy day would be a statement.'
