Chapter One: Welcome to Forks

Hey guys :) This is my first time writing on here. This is my first FanFic and it takes place in New Moon. Feel free to comment and I'd love a co-writer. If any one is up for the job please contact me. :) Oh and BTW this is in Scarlett's POV

          I sighed loudly as I squished my face against the cold window. I had waited over an hour at the airport for Charlie Swan, my father, to come and pick me up at the airport. The coldness helped to heal the pain that started to throb in my head.  My  twin sister Bella had visited my father over a year ago. She was supposed to come home, but ended up staying with him for some reason. The short phone calls we had, which it was very seldom to even get one from her, and they only lasted ten minutes at the least, she was ranting about her beloved Edward Cullen.

          I had never met this Edward, but the way she spoke of him it made me jealous. Bella was the one who always got the boys. No matter who it was she always managed to get them. Saying she was prettier would be ironic, considering we are twins, but in all that is real in my mind, she is prettier, she is better, and she is always taking what I want. That may make my seem cold hearted, but all in all it was true.

          I shook my head as I tried to get away from those feelings. She was my twin and I loved her. I took my head away from the window, only to be hit by a wave of nausea and a sharp pain to go threw my head. I wasn't uncommon for sudden headaches to hit me then stop the next minute.

          I glanced out the window to a sign saying "The City Of Forks Welcomes You". The wood looks old and as if it would crumble at any given second. The skys were gloomy and dark, nothing like the hot suns I was used to with my mother and stepfather. The change of weather would definately be a shock to my system. 

          "Almost there Scar."  My dad said looking back for a split second. I just nodded as his eyes trailed back to the road. The only reason I was really coming down to my dad's this year is to celebrate Bella's birthday. Well , not just her birthday, mine too.

          "The name's Scarlett dad, not Scar." I huffed lightly pressing my throbbing head back to the cold window. I could feel the rain as it thudded against the window and matched the rythem of my ache. I could see him in the mirrow rolling his eyes. He was the only one that would persistently call me Scar. I would nearly beat anyone else who would do so, other than Bella of course.

          As I was looking out the window I saw a pair of eyes staring at me threw the woods. I gasped lightly as I saw a body to the eyes. It was a huge wolf!

          "Woah Dad did you see that?!" I shouted slightly freaking out. He slammed on the breaks and looked at me worriedly. The sudden outburst had shocked him.

          "Hey, hey Scar what's wrong?" He questioned worriedly. I shook my head as I looked back to the spot. Nothing was there. Nothing at all. It was empty. No eyes, no figure, no wolf. Just trees and rain.

           "O-oh um..........nothing. Nothing's wrong. I just thought I saw..." I shook my head. He would probably think I was delusional if I started to speak about freakishly large wolves. "I must have mistaken something. I have a headache." I said looking quickly back out the window. "It probably wasn't even a wolf at all. It was just my imaination. Yeah that was all it was! The weather change ,and my headache were probably the causes. It was no wolf!" I thought almost laughing at my self. How silly was I? thinking of wolves that large. It was larger than a truck. Obviously wolves couldn't ever even amount to that level of height or largeness.

          It was just my imagination. Just my crazy thoughts. I looked once more back at the spot ,only to be taken away by the rumbling of the old truck. We were off again to the house that I haden't been to in years. Oh what a suprise I would be in for. Only if I could know how crazy life could really be.  Of course, like any "normal" person, I couldn't possibly know what was a head of me in the future. No "normal" person could. But who ever said I was normal?
