sixty two ~ the view

"Simon!" Josh shouted through the house. Simon sighed, dropping his phone on his bed. He had been trying to text Vik all day with no response. It was now 6pm and he was getting very impatient.

"What do you want?" Simon shouted back as he skipped down the stairs taking two at a time. He skidded along the wooden floor to a halt when he saw Vik standing half behind Josh. Josh's eyebrows were raised in as much confusion as Simon felt.

"Cupcake! Hello!" Simon pushed away the confusion and held his arms open. Slowly, Vik looked up at him and his face broke into a smile. He stepped forward and wrapped his arms around Simon's waist, burying his head in his chest. For a moment, Simon remembered he had been walking around the house in his boxers and a tshirt only.

"We're going to Nandos! Though... I don't a car... so..." Vik looked up at him with a puppy dog face as he pulled away which made Simon's heart swell.

"Let me put trousers on and I'll drive us. Josh'll get you a drink or something." Simon nodded at his housemate and kissed the top of Vik's head quickly before dashing up the stairs. It had only been yesterday when Simon asked to be taken to Nandos and yet here Vik was.

Vik watched Simon happily, enjoying not only how excited he was but also the view. He blushed as Josh drew his attention away by calling out for him to follow. In the kitchen was a boy Vik recognised very well.

"Vik this is Jide, Jide this is Vik." The two boys looked at each other a little awkwardly, not sure what to say to each other. Jide had been the one in the groupchat, Jide was still here now while Simon walked around half naked.

Upsettingly, he felt jealousy and sadness build throughout his body. He tried not to let it show and mumbled out a small hello. Josh seemed to realise why it was so strange between them and coughed a few times.

"So..." Josh tried to start but thankfully he was saved by Simon skidding back into the room. Completely unfazed he took Vik's hand.

"Leggo!" He announced, turning to walk out the door as he waved to Josh and Jide. Vik didn't bother.
