Chapter One: Shattered

We've been driving for fifteen hours now and I've got tired of checking my phone. It wasn't like I had friends to text to begin with anyways. I tell myself, My eyes started getting heavy as I feel asleep to the movement of the car.

"Tell me the the truth Marlin, where were you!" I hear my mom say from the my bedroom.

" If I told you once , I've told you a million time Denise I was out with the boys" my dad told her trying not to yell. I thank god that the twins were having a sleepover at our cousins house ,because they don't deserve hearing this.

" I'm tired of you thinking that every time I go out that I'm cheating on you. Why can't you trust me." To tell you the truth I don't even trust my own father anymore. He cheated on my mom three times and I know he could do it again if given the opportunity.

"Maybe because the last couple times, you were with another women! Marlin you go out every other day, and leave your marriage at home." My mom said trying to stay calm. "Where's your wedding ring, huh? I bet you don't even know." I hear her take a few step before coming to a stop. " It's okay though, soon you won't know where your own penis is, with all those grotesque girls galloping on it ,of course." Mom's comeback game is too strong as I chuckled a little.

"What did you say about my manhood " I roll my eyes hearing the man I called fathers reaction. I honestly don't know why my mom was still with him, I don't care if he was my father , you should never threat your wife and the mother of your kids like that.
