Butterfly Project [A Lerrie fanfiction]

Chapter Two

When the girls reached the bar, Perrie was the first one to take a seat on one of the chairs. Jesy sat by Jade and Leigh sat in between Perrie and Jesy. Before Leigh could even order, Jade already had a drink in her hand.

"How'd you get that so fast?" Leigh asked Jade incredulously.

"The bartender knows me already." Jade said with a shrug.

Leigh chuckled quietly beneath her breath and then immediately stopped when she saw something by the corner of the room that made her purse fall.

Zayn was snogging another woman.

Jesy, who also saw it, shook Perrie's arm and pointed at Zayn.

All three girls were immediately focused on Perrie but all the blonde geordie could do was stare.

Jesy got up and made her way towards Zayn and the mystery girl. When Zayn saw Jesy, he broke up the kiss and started saying something to Jesy but a second later, Jesy punched Zayn and walked back to their table. Perrie, who had witnessed the whole thing, began to cry and immediately got up and left the club.

"Can you go after her?" Jade asked Leigh.

"You do it. I want to beat up Zayn." Leigh replied and gave Zayn a menacing look.

"Out of the three of us, you understand Perrie the most. She also trusts you the most. Please, go look after her." Jade pleaded.

Leigh knew she was right. Leigh shouldn't care about Zayn right now, Perrie needed her the most at this moment. She quickly got up and ran out of the building. At the corner of the street, she saw Perrie standing nearby the road. Her head held down.

Leigh-Anne quickly made her way towards Perrie and then she stood by Perrie's side. Perrie turned around and without any warning, she threw herself at Leigh and began to cry on her shoulder.

"It's okay baba. Just forget that boy." Leigh said, trying to calm Perrie.

"I hate him so much but I love him. THAT DOESN'T EVEN MAKE SENSE." Perrie shouted the last sentence which caused Leigh to jump a bit.

"I'm sorry, Lee-Lee." Perrie said, who had managed to calm down a bit.

Leigh looked at Perrie's bloodshot eyes and she knew that Perrie was hiding her pain. With a small smile, she grabbed Perrie's hands and said, "Let's go home."

Perrie nod in agreement and Leigh called a cab to pick them up. A few minutes later, a cab shows up and together, the two went back home.

Leigh thought it was dangerous to be around Perrie. She didn't want to do something stupid that could ruin her friendship with her and also ruin the band. But it was beyond impossible to be away from her. It was as if Perrie was a drug to her.

When they reached Leigh-Anne's flat, the first thing that Perrie did was lay on the sofa. Her action reminded Leigh of Jordan, one of her ex who confessed to Leigh a month ago that he was seeing another woman. That same night, Leigh was going to tell Jordan that she was gay but his confession saved her from doing that.

"Why?" Perrie's voice snapped Leigh out of her thoughts.

"Why what, sweetie?" Leigh asked and sat next to Perrie.

"Why would Zayn do that to me?" Perrie asked.

Leigh did not have an appropriate answer to this. In her mind, she was thinking a lot of nasty names that described Zayn but she knew that those names were not the answers to Perrie's question.

"How about you close your eyes and go to sleep? We'll talk more about it later." Leigh said.

Perrie, who was lost in her own thoughts, sighed and rested her head on the armrest of the couch. A minute later, Perrie began to snore softly. Leigh stared at her and she too closed her eyes and fell asleep next to her.

I owe you guys a MASSIVE apology for leaving all of you hanging in the last chapter. I know that this is crappy chapter but things will get more exciting in the next chapters :) I PROMISE!
