1.14.2090. A day to remember. That day was like any other day. Walking around these intersecting hallways, I came across one of the most annoying human being I have ever met in my entire life. His name was Evan. "Hey Sam I was waiting for you, we need to hang out soon."
Ugh there he goes again with his so called "smooth talk," he's just picking on me. Looking around, all the other girls were glowing with jealousy, it was hard not to laugh at their faces. "Hey Evan ill see you in class." With those words I walked away from that narcissistic Bastard. Why do people think that even though they have good looks they can pick on people? Yes I admit it, Evan is very attractive but only in looks, his personality sucks as do his athletic skills. Finally reaching classroom I hear other boys cheers from behind. "Yes Sam's in our class. She's such a babe." Well they must be blind, I am an average looking girl with highish grades. " Ptsss, hey Sam we are in the same class again, and I'm lucky enough to sit behind you." Oh no please don't tell me that's Evan. Looking behind me my heart drops, my prediction was right it IS the narcissist himself. "Glad you showed up on time for once Evan. Can you try not to talk to me, the teacher just came in." "Aw don't be like that Sam." " Everybody settle down, it's time to start school up again, get those brains moving!" With school back up there was only one person I was looking forward too seeing, my closest friend Eric. He is a rare person, one of the only few who try to make me laugh and succeed, unfortunately he's In the class next door. So for now until this class is over, I'm going to be a bored and lonely girl. BUZZZ! "Homework is to work on chapter 3 in The textbook and summarize what you have learned, see you tomorrow."
Ugh that class took forever to finish, and that was only one out of the four I have to take. Thank goodness my last three blocks have Eric in them or I might just have died of boredom. Oh but there is a tiny problem,  Evan is also in them. How is that even possible!! I'm in all advanced classes, he's not smart enough yet somehow he got into these classes. What a nightmare. "Hey Sam come sit by me!" Eric shouts this from across the classroom and I laugh as I walk over to him. "Nice to see you to Eric, it's felt like years." "More like an hour, we walked to school together remember?" "Riiiight." "Sam I get to sit beside you in this class." Noo it's Evan again, can't he just leave me alone. "That's great to know Evan, I would have never guessed." A look of confusion spread across his empty head as Eric chuckled to the left of me. The teacher walked in just as another sound went off. It wasn't a bell but more like a harsh siren."Alright children this is an earthquake drill, we were not scheduled for one today but we will still comply with the principal's request." Shuffling into the hallway I wait for Eric to catch up with me. "What do you think is going on, a real earthquake perhaps?" "I guess we will find out together, right Sam?" Those where the last words I heard from Eric. The floor beneath us began to crack and part. Lockers fell on top of students, trapping them as the school quickly began to split in half. I couldn't hear myself think over all the screams and blood that began to run through the halls. "Eric!" I frantically turn around to find him. His dyed blue hair caught my eye, and I began to push against the crowed to get to him. He sees me struggling against the bodies of other students, and reaches his hand toward me. Stretching as far as I could, our fingertips just barely touched when my side of the building falls into the ground. That was the last time I saw my best friend and the day the world was split in two.
