Its not every day where you move to a new town and you meet people the first day who are like you. Well not for ordinary folk that is. I'm not ordinary, I'm someone who bends the will if chance to my will, much like these other individuals.

I guess a little introduction is needed before I start telling the story of how a few friends saved the world. I know, so mellow dramatic, but in all sense of the word we did but it wasn't just us. It was a joined effort of others like us, other witches. See we live a life that is more than just the physical, we life a life that involves the metaphysical and the things that are encompassed in that.

I, myself, go by Voyna. That's what my friends refer to me as and that's how you guys will know me. Much like myself everyone else will be referred to by a nickname of sorts. Their true identity, or at least my friends identity won't be revealed, as a way to keep them safe. Names are a powerful thing and in the mouths if the wrong people can do a lot of damage.

I'm rambling now, I'll just get on with telling the story. After college I decided to move to a new town to start fresh and make my own path in life. I needed to step out from the cover of the old and familiar. My friend Riina attended the same college, where we first met. I didn't know they were already living in the city that I moved to and but was definitely a welcoming feeling when I found out the morning they appeared at my place around breakfast.

After breakfast we decided to take a walk, them showing me all the cool little spots to check out when we had more time to explore. We stopped and got coffee at a quaint little ma and pa shop which was where I met the next friend.

"Are you kidding!" A very angry girl yelled as her computer screen showed signs of a game over, "I totally had them! How the hell did they destroy my base?"

"Ma'am, can you please keep it down?" The gentle old lady behind the counter requested.

"Sorry Mrs. MacDougall, its just, this stupid game is frustrating me," the female replied looking distraught.

Voyna caught a glance at the necklace hanging around the girl neck and gently elbowed Riina. They looked over and caught a glimpse before the girl tucked it back under her shirt. They sat at a table that was close to the girl and watched her a bit to closely.

"Can I help you?" She spat out as she sat down after retrieving a coffee from the counter.

"Couldn't help but notice your beautiful pendulum, I mean necklace you have on," Riina spurted out before Voyna could politely apologize.

"How did you, I mean," she stammered.

"Sorry, my friend can be a bit nosey," Voyna excuse, shooting Riina a sour look.

"That's what, a garnet point?" Rinna continued leaning a bit closet to the girl.

"Its none of your business is what it is," the girl shot back, "now back off or I'll make a pendulum out of you index finger."

"So it is a pendulum?" Riina kept going.

"I said its none of..." She trailed off as she seen Riina pull out her necklace of Nordic origins.

"Show her your tell Voyna," Riina ordered, "he has a really cool tell."

Voyna glared at Riina and then sighed. He fiddled with his eyes and the girl looked at him in shock as he poked his eyes with his fingers. After a few seconds of blinking he finally looked at her revealing milky white eyes. He could easily be mistaken for as blind but they were the eyes of an oracle, "You look like you've never seen anyone take contacts out before."

"Not with eyes like that," the girl exclaimed in a whispered shock. Voyna fiddled around with the contacts again, putting them back in, giving him green eyes.

"So, what can we call you? I'm Riina and this is Voyna," Riina introduced the two, reaching out their hand as a friendly greeting.

"You can call me Dorite," she replied with a smirk. The three talked for another hour and a half, exchanging numbers before leaving.

"We must go, Voyna is new to town and I wanna show him some important places that he is going to need to know about."

"Well this is like a prime spot for coffee and fellowship. Check out the floral shop over on seventh street on the corner. Its hard to miss. Also there's a bakery that makes the most amazing bread and baked goods this side of the country," Dorite instructed.

"Will do and thanks. Know if there are any good stores to get," Riina started asking.

"Miss Marries collectables, she'll have what you're looking for."

That's how we met Dorite. Dorite has become a really close friend, as well as the others but being the first friend we made we had time to get to know her better. There we were, on a mission to get some food, plants, and what ever Riina needed to get from Miss Marries.
