Part Four(Last Part)

This is the last part T_T after this I really don't know what to do. I have started with a Block B fanfic but it's really bad so I can't post it yet and plus; I don't have a cover that is good enough :P
So yeah... anyway please enjoy this chapter!!

It’s the day of the wedding and it’s chaos in the castle. Luhan is everywhere and nowhere.
 “Where is the prince?!”
 “There he is!”
 “No Luhan, where are you going? You need to prepare yourself!” people shout everywhere.
Mei on the other hand is just sitting in her room thinking about what she should do. She needs to talk to Luhan, or not talk but show him that he shouldn’t marry Zhang Li.
She walks out from the room seeing Luhan passing by. She quickly runs after him and takes his hand. He looks at her shocked. He knows what she is trying to say but he just shakes his head and pulls his hand back.
 “I’m sorry Mei, I can’t just cancel it. I have to marry Zhang Li, I know I have to” he mumbles and walks away.
 Please Luhan…

 

The truth is that Luhan really wants to marry Mei, but because Zhang Li is the girl that saved him from drowning he knows that he should marry her instead. Even if his heart tells him not to.
It is crowded on the wedding ship when he steps on to it. He hasn’t seen the bride yet and he is not allowed to do it until the wedding starts.
When everyone is onboard, the ship starts to move. Luhan is very nervous over the wedding and he keeps on thinking if he’s making the right choice or not. Stop thinking about it Luhan, you know this is the right thing to do.
 “Luhan my son, come here. I need to talk to you for awhile” his father said and Luhan followed him in to his father’s boat cabin.

 “What is it father?” Luhan asked.
 “I just want to say that I’m really proud and that you’ve grown up a lot. I really can’t believe you are getting married” he said and Luhan responded with a smile. “And there is one thing that I want to give you. That has passed from father to son in generations” the king said and gave the prince a golden medallion.
 “Father… you can’t give me this. It’s too much” Luhan said and looked up at him.
 “But I want to and then when your son is getting married you will pass it to him and then it will keep going for hundreds of generations” the king smiled
 “Thank you dad” Luhan smiled back.

Mei sat on a plank at the bottom of the boat and touched the water with her foots and her hands. Suddenly she saw a fish swimming up to the surface.
 “Blunder!” she mimicked
 “Ohh Mei I miss your voice so much!” the fish said and Mei smiled sadly. “But why are you here? Shouldn’t you be preparing for your wedding?” he asked but she just shook her head. “What do you mean? Isn’t it your wedding? Is the prince marrying someone else?!” Mei was closely to crying. She just shook her head again.
 “No… I don’t believe you! You can’t die! You can’t! I won’t let you!” Blunder screamed and swam away.
 Please don’t go Blunder. Not you too…

 

It was time for the wedding. It was finally time for the 19 year old prince Luhan to get married.
Luhan checked one last time in the mirror and smiled nervously. You can do this Luhan. You have to. There is no turning back now. Zhang Li is the love of your life, not Mei. Mei is just a friend, nothing more, nothing less.
 “Son, are you ready?” his dad asked. Luhan turned around to face his father and nodded.
The prince and the king walked to the altar on the boat and waited for the bride to show up. It was quiet, but it was nice.
Luhan takes a deep breath and looks at Mei who was sitting far away in the corner. She looks up and saw him looking at her, and both of them looks away.

Then it starts. The minute everyone has been waiting for. The music starts to play and then she walks in with a beautiful white dress. Luhan looks at Zhang Li and smiles at her, she smiles back.
When she arrives at the altar the music stops and the priest starts talking about things that Luhan doesn’t care about.
 “Luhan and Zhang Li please take each other’s hands and look in to each other’s eyes” he says and they do as the priest says. “Now Luhan; will you take Zhang Li to be your wife, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish her friendship and love her today, tomorrow and forever? Will you trust and honor her, laugh with her and cry with her? Will you be faithful through good times and bad, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?” he priest says and looks at Luhan.
He takes a deep breath and look at Zhang Li once again.
 “I will” Luhan smiles
 “And Zhang Li; will you take Luhan to be your husband, your partner in life, and your one true love? Will you cherish his friendship and love him today, tomorrow, and forever? Will you trust and honor him, laugh with him and cry with him? Will you be faithful through good times and bad, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?” he asks her.
 “I will” she answers.

After the wedding everyone was celebrating. Everyone except Mei. She was looking out at the ocean, watching the sun go down. This was her last day on earth. She knew that.
 “Hey” she hears someone says and stands next to her. She looks at the person and finds Luhan there. She smiles at him as a greeting.
 “So what are you going to do now?” Luhan asks and she shrugs her shoulders. “You can stay with us in the castle if you want or I can fix a house for you” he says. She bites her lip to not cry.
Luhan sighs and looks at Mei.
 “I’m really sorry Mei but… she’s the love of my life. I still love you and I will always do but; she’s my soul mate and my other half, and now she’s my wife. I can’t leave her. I’m really sorry Mei” Luhan says and walks away.
At that moment she lets it out ad starts to cry. She runs away to the other side of the boat and starts to cry. I don’t want to die. I want to go back. I don’t want to die! Mei screams in her mind.

 “Mei?” she hears someone say. She turns around but can’t see anyone.
 “Mei, down here!” someone shouts. She looks down and see her sister and Blunder in the water. She smiles sadly at them. Then she notices something different with her sister; her hair is short, it barely reaches Jia’s ears.
 “We won’t let you die, Mei! Catch this!” Jia shouts and throws something that looks like its glowing. She catches it and looks at it. It’s a silver knife and it’s really sharp. “Blunder told me that the prince where going to marry someone else so I swam to the witch and sacrificed my hair for that knife. She said that if you take the prince’s heart and jump in to the water you will turn in to a mermaid again!” she says and smiles. She can go back. She can survive this. But that means that she has to kill Luhan. The person she loves with all her life. Will I be able to do it?

It was night. This is the time that Mei will turn back in to a mermaid or die and become foam.
 “Good night everyone!” she hears Luhan and Zhang Li say to everyone. She follows after them to their room and waits for about an hour until she knows they have fallen asleep.
Mei looks at the knife and cuts herself on the fingertip to see if it’s sharp. The blood quickly starts to drop down from her finger. As she puts her finger in the mouth to stop it from keep bleeding she thinks for awhile. Will I be able to do it? What if someone comes in to the room? What if I get caught? What if Luhan wakes up? No. That won’t happen. I will do this.

Mei stands up and slowly walks in to Zhang Li and Luhan’s room. They are asleep. She slowly walks to Luhan’s side of the bed and just stares at his peaceful face for a moment. She admires his flawless face, so perfect, his golden brown hair, and the lips that almost touched hers. Suddenly she starts crying. She can’t do it. She just can’t. I love him too much. Nothing can replace my love for him. I rather die than kill him. If I love him then I should let him be happy. He will be fine without me.
Mei puts the knife on the small table next to the bed and walks out. She finds a scale, exactly like the one she gave Luhan the first time she saw him. Mei puts it on the ground with her pin she was wearing. She climbs up to the edge of the boat and looks at the horizon, and the same time the sun starts to rise there. Mei smiles; she finally got to see the sun rise. She takes a deep breath and lets a few tear drops fall. Goodbye. And then she jumps. She closes her eyes to not see when her body becomes foam…

The boat does a turn to the right, because of that the knife falls down and the sound wakes Luhan up. He looks at the knife, stares at it for awhile. It has a bit of blood on the top but nothing more. Then it hits his head, Mei.
Luhan runs out from the room and runs to the edge of the boat; there he finds a scale and a pin. Mei’s pin. Suddenly memories start to come back to him. He saw a girl. A girl with red hair to her ribs, she looked up at him and he looked at her. It was Mei. Then the thunder hit the boat and he felled in to water. Before he passed out he saw someone; Mei. She helped him out from the water. Mei was the girl that saved his life, no one else.
Luhan looks around and tries to find Mei but he knows she wasn’t there.
 “Mei!” he screams. But he knows it was useless. Mei wasn’t coming back. Not now, not tomorrow. Never.
