Yui, clueless to her mother's pregnancy, skipped into her parents bedroom, finding her mother asleep in her father's arms. Whilst stroking Asuna's hair, Kirito enticed Yui onto the bed and wrapped a gentle arm around her. Innocent and adorable, Yui curled up on her father's chest and closed her huge eyes, falling into a deep sleep. 'I'm so luck to have a family,' Kirito thought, tapping Asuna stomach 'but soon three will become four.' He smiled and flickered his sleep induced eyes shut. Emulating his family, he feel into a deep sleep with the woman dearest to him snuggled up beside him.
Midnight. Awaking to the sound of a tawny owl's call, Yui stumbled sleepily over to the mahogany balcony; the mustard moon hung over the ebony night sky as Yui seemed to be drowning in a sea of mystery and inquisitiveness. The thought of her origin circled her blank brain and as she soothed herself with the combing of her hair, she stared out at the tranquility of the sleeping waters within the lake. Reminiscing of her time with the couple, she smiled at the joy they had bought to her otherwise empty life and how much they cared for her. Abandoned and adopted. Fantasising about their future life, she hoped they would never let her go; a monarch butterfly fluttered on the breeze, it's vibrant orange wings so elegant and graceful. "Butterfly." Whispered Yui, as sadness seemed to rise in her tone. Sighing through broken tears, Yui grabbed her mums arm and wrapped it around her tightly and snuggled further into her loving grip and forced her tearful eyes shut.
