Escape From The Underdark

Chapter 2

" Think, just, think there has to be away out."

"Shut up!! It's time for you to go to sleep you have a long day ahead of you tomorrow and it's going to hurt."

"Alright alright already I'll go to sleep."

As Zalatallia drifts asleep she hears a noise she starts to get up to go see what it is. She tiptoes as quiet as she possibly can and she sees behind the corner a little baby rat. "How did this little guy get down here?" she said shocked. " This means that there is way out and I have to find it, I'm not going to live down here for the rest of my life because if I do I will end up like the others that are here with me. And if I find away out that means I can save my parents as well but they aren't slaves like I am they live in menzoberranzan and I don't know what it's like there I've only seen my parents once." she picks up the baby rat and trys to take care of it because it has no one to care for it and if she left it there it would have died within a few days.

She makes sure her baby rat is warm and cozy and they both drift asleep.The next morning before every one else wakes up she makes a little pocket for her baby and it's a little deep so that it can't get out. As she works and works it's time for breakfast. She asked for more because of her being in the cage for a week. She got a little extra food and she put it in her pocket so her baby can eat it. After she eats she goes into a corner and grabs the food and makes it smaller for her baby to eat it. After she crumbles up the food she picks up her baby and trys to feed it the food she has for it.

"You there," said the gaurd "Get back to work."

" ok ok just give me a minute."

"You have 30 secounds."

She gets every thing together and puts her little baby rat in her pocket very carefully so it doesn't get hurt. She gets back to work and She works and works and works. Later in the day she gets called in to the chamber which is the main leaders chamber. The leader calls her in and says,"sit child."
