"I love you more than that," Mitch wrapped his hand around Scott's, pulling him towards him, "I don't love you, I need you."
"W-wha-" the blond was cut off by a finger on his lips, silencing him. He didn't exactly care, though, as he was speechless anyways.
"I didn't know how you felt and I confided in other people to give me the love that I craved from you. I've never cared more about a person, and I've never been cared about more by a person. I'm not religious, Scooter, but it wasn't an accident that we met. It was fate."
Scott felt his eyes filling up with tears as he wrapped one of his arms around Mitch's back, pulling away his other hand and pressing it against the back of the smaller boy's head, "I love you so much, Mitch."
"I know you do, but it's time you learn that I love you too," he smiled, standing on his toes to press their lips together. Scott kept laughing, falling backwards onto his couch as Mitch fell on top of him.
And he did learn.
And it was a lesson he never forgot.
