She adore's visiting her neighbor Mrs Define.
There they are having a tea party
(That's a Fancy word for porch.)
When she was a child Mrs Define Lived in
Hollywood She used to see lots of
Movie stars-only Mrs Devine calls
Them celebrity's
Isn't that fancy?
She has a special scrapbook of photographs
Some are autographed
That means celebrities signed them
Her scrapbook is extremely fascinating," she says
Ooh LA LA! Mrs Devine says she can borrow her scrapbook if she brings it back tomorrow
Merci, merci, merci! She says. At home she pretends that she is a Hollywood celebrity.
She dresses up in her most glamorousm attire-thats fancy for clothes
She gives her autograph to all her fans.
She poses for photographs.
She is Late for a glamorous Hollywood party," she tells her fans
Au devoid
(You say it like this aw ruh-VWA. That's French for "good-bye.")
On her door she puts up a sign that says Do Not Disturb.
Because celebrity's need their privacy.
She wants to look through Mrs Devine's scrapbook.
But then she hears her dad calling us to dinner.
After dinner she learns all her spelling words.
She is practically an expertnat spelling.
Before she knows it her mom says Nancy time for bed."
Oh no! She hasn't had a second to look at the scrapbook.
She begs her mom to let her stay up later But her mom says no.
"Its a school night tomorrow is Friday.
Tomorrow she can stay up later."
She puts on her night gown and gets in bed.
Her parents kiss her goodnight.
"Sleep tight," they say.
But guess what! She is not going to sleep.
Under the covers, she has conceald-
That's a Fancy word for hidden-
A flashlight and the the scrapbook.
She stays up very late. it is almost ten o'clock when she puts away the scrapbook
And turn off her flashlight.
She bets even celebrities don't stay up that late!
The next mining when her dad wakes her up.
She is exhausted Exhausted is even worse then tired.
At recess she is to exhausted to jump rope with Bree and her friends.
she misses three of the words on the spelling list.
Her brain is exhausted, too.
After school she returns Mrs devin's scrapbook.
She asks if she would like to stay for dinner and watch a movie called National velvet.
"It is on TV tonight. It is about a girl and a horse.
She loved it when she was her age." She says.
It sounds fascinating she said but she can hardly keep her eyes open.
She go's home and starts weeping-witch is fancy for crying.
When her dad asks what's wrong she confesses.
"She was naughty and stayed up late last night and
She had a terrible and exhausting day."
Her dad doesn't scold her. He says,
"Now you understand why you
Need I good night sleep."
That night she go's to bed even earlier than her sister!
On Saturday she wakes up feeling glorious again.
(Glorious is fancy for wonderful.)
And guess what-mrs. Devine taped the movie for her!

She can see it tonight.
Her dad was right-even fancy girls need their beauty rest.
