(A/N): I plan on redoing this chapter someday, because right now it really sucks.

"I taught you how to pick locks, and this is how you're using that skill?" I asked, making the Jedi I would have recognized from across the planet jump, retracting the hand he had been trying to open a locked door with, and turn to face me.

"I honestly thought you; of all people; would be able to open a door as easy as this one." I added, and it seemed to give him an idea of who I was, even with my hood concealing my face.

"(Y/N), is-?" He started, and I cut him off with, "You know what, if I get arrested for helping you with this, it's your fault." I spoke as I raised my right hand, picturing the gears in the door, and with the simplest thought of the locking mechanism opening, the gears began to turn, and the locked seal of the door broke, and the heavy, iron door fell, making Kanan jump back, and me flinch just a tad when it landed just a half foot from my feet, with a loud enough clang.

"Damn, that was louder than I expected." I cringed, stepping onto the thick, metal door, and into the dark building he had been trying to access.

"See? Empty." I sighed after looking around the dark warehouse. I turn around to find the taller force wielder standing right in my way. "You could've compromised this entire mission, (Y/N)! That was an idiot move!" He whisper-yelled, probably not getting the desired response from me, an eyeroll.

I craned my neck to look him in the eye, and from only glancing at those teal irises, I could tell he'd aged from when we'd last met, not a physical age, a spiritual, psychological age, something that comes with responsibility, something I have yet to gain.

"We both know who's made more idiot moves, I'm only getting you back." I said, staring him square in the eye, as I spoke.

He scoffed, but broke my gaze, nodding slowly before looking back. "I should be the one getting you back." He said when he looked back at me.

"Are you kidding?" I scoffed. "I did you a favour. I am the one who-" I was cut off by a teenager's voice on what sounded like a com.

"Uh, spectre one? Is everything going okay?" They asked, the voice definitly sounded male.

Kanan reached for what seemed to be his com unit, but before he could answer, I grabbed it from him, and turned on our end of the com. "Spectre one's fine, kiddo. Clueless as always, but fine."

Kanan scowled at me for that, and grabbed the com back. "Yes, spectre six. Everything's fine."

"Who was that on the com? Spectre one, are you alone?" A new, older female voice asked.

I snickered, shifting my weight to one leg as I watched what would unfold.

"No, spectre two, I'm not." Kanan answered. "But I'm with.....A friend." He added quickly, glancing at me slightly.

"Oh, a friend? I didn't really think we were still friends." I teased, and for once, he gave me a glare that actually shut me up. It was one of those glares that someone gives you when they really mean it.

The female voice sounded a little hesitant, almost as if she didn't trust him. "Alright, spectre one." She said. "Is the plan going well?" She asked, it seemed to make Kanan cringe, looking into the empty warehouse, which, knowing my old friend, the warehouse was likely of imperial custody.

"Yes, spectre two. I'll just need a bit longer." He lied, making me snort softly.

"Right, spectre one. We can do that." The voice responded, and Kanan nodded, putting his com back.

"Liar." I stated, crossing my arms.

"You don't even know what the plan is." He said.

"Knowing you, I do." I said, and that made him sigh.

"Listen, if you're gonna do this, at least help me." He said.

I chuckled. "I don't even know what you need help with."

"I thought you knew me." He said.

"I haven't really known you in a while, have I?"

After looking around in the empty warehouse for a while, I could feel frustration radiating from my old friend, it made me laugh, because I knew exactly what he was looking for, and exactly where it was.

"Ready to give up yet, Dume?" I snickered, he had insisted on the fact that what he was looking for, was here, he just didn't know where. The funny part was, I could see what he was looking for, although, not with my eyes.

"I told you not to call me that." He hissed, I shrugged it off and walked over to him.

"I know exactly where it is," I started. "If you let me become the author of this story, I'll find the crates, and be done with this."

"How do you know they're crates?" He asked.

"I told you, I know where they are, it's kind of a given that I can see what they are." I said.

He shook his head, stepping backwards and turning his back to me. "You know why I won't let you...."

"I know why you won't accept it, not why you won't let me accept it." I said.

"(Y/N), what you did all those years ago...." He trailed off.

"You know what, forget it." I spat at his back, the mention of what I did to keep us both safe making me sour. "I'll get you the damn crates."

I turned to my right, the empty wall had already been paced up and down before, but this was never tried. I reached my right hand towards the cement structure, and twisted my arm suddenly, making a square shape in the wall shift, and dust that had settled fly into the air from it's shelf.

The square revealed a panel in the wall, which I was surprised he hadn't been aware of. Then again, in my presence, he usually avoided letting the force guide him, because it always alerted him of who I was.

I walked over to the panel, punched in a code, and the rest of the wall began shifting, and doing the same as what the panel had done first.

After a while, the entirety of the wall had reeled back, and hidden itself, revealing what looked to be hundreds of crates, stacked haphazardly, and scattered across the expanse of room.

"I'm the one writing this story," I said, "You're my editor, I can do amazing things, if you just let me."

I felt his shoulders drop, and his gaze seem to fall to the floor. "I know...." He whispered.
