I'm running through a thick forest, my bare feet barely touching the snowy ground. I risk a glance back. Yep, they are still chasing me. Only a few yards back, bolting after me, are the Erasers. Mutant-killing, viscous, wolf-boy hybrids chase me, their huge muscles bulging from their hairy arms. I put on a burst of speed as the closest one lunges for me, missing me by only a few inches. I would stop and fight them, but if I stopped they would slam right into me. Out of the corner of my eyes, I see something through the trees that almost makes me stop running. It's a girl, one that looks just like me, with dirty blond curly hair and wide hazel eyes, running through the forest at the same pace as me, also being chased by the horrid Erasers. The only difference is that were she has hazel eyes, I have sky blue ones. A light gasp escapes my lips, but is swallowed by the sound of the Erasers pounding feet coming after us. She doesn't see me, how could she? She's probably too occupied in saving her own hide, who wouldn't be? That reminds me so run even faster, and I forget about the girl that looks so much like me for a moment as I sprint, away from the Erasers, away from the torturous cages at the School. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a wide cliff appears before me. I glance behind me. The Erasers are closing in. I have no choice. I start jogging again, not as fast this time. I grin with pure grim determination, and jump into the gorge. I see the other girl do the same, still not seeing me, and I snap open my 14-foot wings, see her doing the exact same thing, and dismiss it with a growing ting of annoyance and slight shock. The last thing I think is, "Flock, here I come."
