Chapter One

First hour in the new apartment and Josh couldn't stand all these boxes half-unpacked standing all over his room floor. Lying down on his mattress still on the floor, he couldn't wait to get out of there. Good thing his mom gave him the night off to go with his friends.

*knock, knock, knock*

''Honey can you get that please?!'' his mom yelled from her own room.

He got up from his bed, wondering who that could be, he figured it was just someone trying to sell some shit. One thing was sure, this new home was certainly not the same size as his old house. When he opened the front door, there stood two teenage boys with a plate of lasagna. Weird, he didn't know selling lasagna was a thing now, what was next?

''Hi, we're the neighbours!'' The first boy said a little too happy for Josh's appreciation. ''Well, technically, Tyler here is your neighbour, I'm just the friend on visit. My name's Justin!'' He continued, offering his hand for Josh to shake.
''I'm Josh...'' Josh said ignoring the teen's hand.
''My mom insisted for us to drop this lasagna and welcome you. I'm Tyler, the neighbour.'' He said, offering the plate for Josh to take it.
''Thanks.'' Josh simply replied, taking the plate from Tyler's hand, not sure what to do next.

The first guy, known as Justin, was tall, well-fitted, dark skinned and apparently had a lot of energy for what Josh could assume. He had brown hair, brown eyes and seemed a little immature, about 16 years old maybe. Cute. The other boy, Tyler, was a little bit shorter, had blonde hair, blue eyes just like Josh likes them. He was probably about the same age. Very cute, Josh thought.

''Josh who's there?'' Josh's mom asked, finally arriving at the door.
''The neighbour.'' He said.
''Hi, I'm Tyler. I live next door with my mom, we knew that you would arrive today so my mom prepared dinner for you.'' Tyler said smiling.
''I'm Justin, I'm crashing their place.'' Justin added.
''Oh, that's so sweet of you, tell your mom I say a big thank you! Actually why don't I say it to her myself? Would you ask your mom if the three of you would come eat at our place tonight?'' Josh's mom said all excited about the new neighbours.
''Why?'' Josh asked his mom, sounding a little bit more rude than he expected.
''Josh don't be rude.'' His mom warned him.
''But I have plans tonight.'' He said, annoyed.
''Well, you'll just have to move those plans later tonight.''
''I'll ask her.'' Tyler said before Josh could reply to his mom, this made him even more annoyed than he already was.
''Great.'' He simply replied before handing the lasagna to his mom and returning to his room.

Couple more hours had past and Josh was still in his room trying to figure out how to make this room his own. The paint on the walls was cracked, there were stains of coffee on his carpet, yeah he had carpet for his floor. His closet door was only half-closing and his window wouldn't open.

''Josh, the neighbours will be here in a couple of minutes, come set the table for me please!''He heard his mom yell from the kitchen.

Right, he almost forgot they had visitors for dinner. Almost. Before he could take a step out of his room he heard knockings at the front door.

''I'll get it!!'' He yelled before his mom could do it.
''Thank you honey!'' His mom yelled anyway as Josh rolled his eyes.

''Hi.'' he said trying a smile as he opened the front door.
''Welcome in!'' his mom added getting to the door at the same time.
''Hi, thank you for inviting us.'' Tyler's mom answered already sensing that she would get along with the new neighbours.
''Oh, thank you for the dinner, it's really nice to move next to welcoming people, I'm Jocelyne''
''Theresa, and I assume you already know my son, Tyler and his friend, Justin.'' The two boys waved hello behind her.
''Yes, this is Josh, my son. Josh why don't you three boys go play or something.''
''Play?'' Josh asked his mom questioning if she was serious.
''I don't know, don't you have video games in your room?''
''Yeah...''
''Great! Dinner will be ready in not too long now.'' She said pushing Josh and the boys away.

''So, how old are you?'' Justin asked once they were all standing in the room, looking at each other awkwardly.
''18, I can plug the xbox if you wanna play.'' Josh said already wanted this dinner to be over.
''Sweet!'' Justin said at the same time as Tyler said ''No, it's okay.''

Josh looked at both of them a little confused.

''Okay... Well I'll plug it in anyway.'' He only wanted something to do to make the time pass faster.
''We're 15.'' Justin said continuing the conversation.
''okay.''
''So you have a girlfriend?'' Justin asked smirking, only earning himself an elbow in the hips by Tyler. ''Ow! What was that for?!''
''I'm gay.'' Josh answered casually still trying to plug the xbox in his tv. ''And no, I don't have a boyfriend.''

The two boys looked at each other, not knowing what to say next. Tyler looked particularly nervous at this point.

''Oh, that's fine man.'' Justin said breaking the silence in the room.
''Yeah, I know it is.'' Josh replied slightly annoyed.
''You know, I think you and Tyler will get along pretty well.'' Justin just kept talking.
''Why's that?'' Josh asked
''You know, you play for the same team.'' Justin winked at Tyler, not getting the hint to shut up and earning another elbow in the hips. ''Ow! Stop that!''
''Oh...'' Josh said getting up, eyeing Tyler head to toe. ''Great.'' He said smirking, making Tyler giggle and extremely nervous.

''Guys, dinner's ready!'' They heard Jocelyne yell from the kitchen.
