The Ferris Wheel had twenty carts all which looked tarnished from the inside and out. Mylee beckoned me to sit next to her. It was only natural to take selfies. The rust was a hazel colour with a singe of dark orange. "Cool right?" Mylee added with a duck face. "Um... I'm not sure..." I replied standing up ready to leave. I went to open the heap of metal that was called a door but it didn't move. "Damn" I muttered.
Unexpectedly, the whole cart began to tremble. Mylee and I began to scream pulling at the door however, it wouldn't budge. The cart lifted with such force, I fell backwards on to Mylee. We both froze in fear as the cart moved upwards inch by inch before stopping at the top.
Sweat trickled down my neck. Mylee freaked slamming against the door. "Stop!" I howled "You're gonna fall-" I was cut off by the door cranking. I was too late. Mylee jerked her hand, grabbing on to mine. Her body dangled out the cart. She pulled me towards her which tipped the metal death house. "Mylee stop moving. Everything will be okay, I promise" I roared. She was slipping from my grasp. Another tremor from the cart and she was gone. Tear swelled up as I screamed her name. Her body laid slack against the cold mossy ground.
I sat back up in the cart and cried until there were no more tears left to cry. I glanced up from my arm and a key ring sat opposite me at the end of the cart. I picked it up, cold to the touch. In the moon light, it read... 'Mylee'.
