Heartbreaker

Chapter 1

  BELLA walked out of the the cafe with some hot coffee in one hand while the other wrapped around her little figure trying to keep warm as her breaths vanishing into the cold air sending numerous chills down her body. She saw her car parked by the curb as it waited in the cold for her to drive. She walks to the drivers side placing her coffee on the roof of her car trying to get her keys out of her bag.

As she unlocks her car, she gets in placing her bag in the passenger seat placing her coffee cup in the cup holder as the car starts to heat the inside letting Bella relax for once. 2 months ago, she attempted to commit suicide but her parents didn't send her to a mental hospital or counseling because that would ruin the McAurthur name as Bella's parents owned a huge company as her dad owned the company and her mom was CEO of that company.

 Bella was locked in her room for a week as her parents only said 'think of the stupid thing you've done' and locked her up only giving her meals and that's it. Bella never gave a reason for why she tried to commit suicide and her parents gave out half of the truth. She was being bullied and they said she was just going through teenage times. Her parents never exactly cared for Bella but they made sure that she would be their perfect little girl that will take over the McAurthur company.

 Bella never wanted it. But she wanted to make her parents happy so she signed the papers saying that she will take over when she is 25. That gave her enough time to try to find a way out of it. But the catch was if she didn't take over, Ryder Bates would. And it's Ryder that has done the bullying to Bella ever since middle school.

Bella and Ryder were best friends from diapers. Their parents both wealthy but Ryder's older brother Weston was going to take over the Bates company. Ryder would be CEO unless Bella backed down from taking the company. Ryder and Bella used to do everything, even go country to country with each other! They were inseparable. But when middle school started, Ryder changed dramatically from nice to ruthless. 

He bullied Bella giving out her deepest secrets that she told Ryder to the entire school. Bella isolated herself from the whole school always head down as she walked down the halls. Her locker always vandalized and she had nasty comments thrown at her. But it never affected her studies. She was a straight A student all through middle school and if Bella gets straight A's all through senior year, she would be a valedictorian.

 Bella was a 4.6 GPA which always angered Ryder. He was one not to do so well with A's and B's on his report cards. He always wanted to beat Bella at everything from who got their drivers license first to who finished their math test in which Bella got first on both of them.

Bella pulled up to her driveway as she walks into the house grabbing a granola bar going up to her room placing her coffee on her table and throwing her bag on the ground as she got ready for bed picking an outfit to wear that would look presentable on the first day of senior year. Brushing her teeth she was wondering of all the horrible things Ryder would do. She shivered not wanting to think about it as she walked out of the bathroom flinging herself into bed as she fell into a pit of darkness. She wished herself good luck on the first day.
