Heartbreaker

Chapter 4

FINALLY AS THE LAST HOUR BELL RANG, Bella sighed walking out to the back of the school where she parked her car in order to avoid the traffic of impatient highschoolers trying to get out of school. She slid into her car as she looked at the steering wheel wondering why Ryder went so far to add her brother. She never wanted to have her brother ever mentioned in order to not remember the horrifying death he had. 

Bella and her brother Ashton were playing in their front yard. They were playing tag as Bella was running away from Ashton. Bella was running and didn't even notice that she was going on to the road as a car was racing down the road. Ashton ran to Bella who looked like a deer caught in headlights as the car was coming closer to Bella's frozen form as Ashton pushed her out of the way only for him to be hit by the car. Bella ran to her brother who was laying on the road as blood was pooling around him as he coughed wildly. His throat had been sliced open as he coughed up blood choking on it. "Arabella...." Ashton had whispered looking at her as Bella's tears were mixing in his blood seeing her parents running to the scene with her mom calling the police. 

 Bella put her hands under his hands as she whimpered, "Ashton, please don't go, please stay with me. Please...." She whispered the last few words as he looked at her smiling his bloody hand coming to cup her cheek. "Arabella, my baby, you're strong, you can do this. Make mom and happy for me. Please? I love you so much." He said knowing that he cannot survive this as he looked at his bright sister her tears caressing his bloody face as his vision started to fade, a white light taking over the darkness........

Bella didn't realize that tears were falling down her face as she saw a face on the side window of the passenger door. Ryder was looking at her almost with a face that she has never seen in ages, worry. Bella looked at Ryder an angry face taking over her hurt one as she turned on the engine backing out of the lot but someone was hitting her trunk as she abruptly stopped getting out of the car as she saw Ryder looking at her with a big smirk. 

Ryder liked her and it was true. He couldn't deny she was pretty, hazelnut brown hair with piercing blue eyes which always got his breath stuck in his throat. She always managed to blow him away. But he had a reputation to keep and that was to break Bella so she won't be fit to take over her parent's business. It was his parents idea and that they wanted Bella to back down on the business. After all, he was in line for the business under the contract.

Ryder saw Bella coming out of her car her face red eyes piercing right through his soul. He could take her right there but kept his signature smirk on looking at Bella with a devilish grin as he advanced towards her. Bella kept her ground, not backing out without a fight. "So Bella, your hand is pretty hard you know. I wonder what else that hand can do." Ryder said as he was able to get Bella pressed up in between his chest and her car. 

Bella's breathing increased from the close proximity of Ryder as his hot minty breath hit her face. she shivered with disgust as she tried to push Ryder off her but he caught both her hands and pinned them on her car leaving Bella vulnerable. Bella tried to kick Ryder in the jewels but he was able to catch her leg with his free hand. he put his leg in between hers and spread them making sure she couldn't move. He moved his mouth to her ear as he whispered, "I believe you know what happens when I am mad. Don't you Bella?" Ryder ran his finger along her jawline down to her unmarked collar bone resisting the urge to leave marks on the untouched skin.

"Leave me alone Ryder. You have no right to tell me what to do. I can make my own decisions and make my own actions. Leave me alone because I have no damn clue what I did to you for me to be treated by you like that. We were best friends for Gods Sake Ryder! I don't know what happened to your mind when middle school started." Bella was breathing in hard trying to catch her breath as Ryder's smirk started to grow on his face. He chuckled as he releases Bella from her uncomfortable grasp pf Ryder's as he looks at her. 

"I treat you like that because I like to play games a lot. So I made a game where I am the cat, and you're the mouse."
