A famous philosopher once said that your goal in life has to be one that's worth fighting for. I looked around the isolated training camp. He also said that if you're not experiencing blood, sweat and tears while trying to achieve this goal, you're not doing it right. I reluctantly ran my fingers across my bandaged knee. And last but not least, he said that your goal should be something you love.
'Something I love,eh' I thought as I got off the makeshift chair,'Not even close'.
There was just something about my job that rubbed me the wrong way ever since I was a little kid.Maybe it was the board beds we were forced to sleep on every night. Or maybe it was the fact that they made us do their dirty work. Killing wasn't meant for a five year old,but age doesn't matter in their eyes. Morals were non existent. Any law not made by them was meant to be broken.
I was fed up with their logic. Their uncanny beliefs have finally ripped my mental composure to shreds. I was tired of taking innocent lives simply because I was told to shoot and ask questions later. I wasn't the only one who felt like this though. My two close friends agreed with with me . It was time that we took back the 16 years of our life that they stole from us. It was time that we escaped.
Escaping,in all honesty, wasn't the hardest part of our plan. If one was here as long as we were, one would know every crease and crevice like the back of your hand. Staying in incognito was the challenge. No matter how many places we decided to go to,we knew that we would never be safe there. But every cloud has it's silver lining.
