"Quick turn around!"

Whoosh. Another thing flies over me and almost takes my head off. 1, 2, 3. I charge towards the door and knock it down. 

I need to get out of this place. But, I don't want to leave him behind. He's taught me so much.

"GO!" he says, screaming.

"Cara, come down here." my mom calls from downstairs.

"Ugh, please don't make me go." I yell back.

Another day of school, but today isn't like any other day. Unfortunately, it's the first day. I drag myself down the stairs to the kitchen.

"Happy first day!" She says cheerfully. Somehow knowing its the first day of school doesn't give me a happy feeling. My mom opens the oven and pulls cinnamon rolls out. "I made your favorite for you and Tanner."

"Thanks. I'm going to go get ready." I hesitantly walk back upstairs towards my room. It's not that I'm bullied at school, I don't do well, or I have no friends, I just feel like I don't fit in with everyone there. Like somehow I'm different.
