Chapter 7

K P.O.V

(2 days after Robin leaves)

I haven't seen Robin in a few days and I'm starting to get worried, Robin never goes this long without checking in. I'm about to go raise the alarm to the rest of the team when a disheveled looking Batman storms into the meeting room.

Wait.

Disheveled, Batman?

Whats going on does this have something to do with Robin, holy crap what happened is he OK? Before I can think anymore Bats calls a meeting.

As we enter I can tell that something went horribly wrong and the team scurries to sit down and find out what happened. We sit in the silence for what seems like an eternity then Batman says two words that shatter my world, "Robin's gone" the whole team explodes into a chorus of "What", "How", and "Oh my god".

Through this Bats stays silent, but I can tell he also wants to know how and why this happened. He.   Doesn't.    Know. 

Batman doesn't know! This is bad, this is really bad.

The team finally quiets down and Kaldur voices everyone's thoughts, "How" Batman's best response is, "He left" when asked why, "I don't know" he looks like he's in pain. I decide to put an end to his misery, I stand and I can feel everyone's eyes on me. I ask "What can we do to help?" if I hadn't learned how to read Robin's expressions I would have missed how his eyes widened for a millisecond at my words before he quickly regains his composure, sort of.

After a moment of silence he says, "Were not only looking for Robin." he slides his cowl off his head to reveal a very distressed Bruce Wayne, "Were also looking for Richard John Grayson-Wayne" the team is just staring with their mouths open, Batman just revealed both his and Robin's secret identities. After the shock fades the team jumps into action.

Arty, and Kaldur are running scanners, Zatanna is trying magic, Meg's floating three feet off the ground with her eyes closed and her hand to her head. Supes and I are searching the old fashioned way, running and flying around the world. Bats goes back to his cave to get the Bat Computer running and better supplies.

R P.O.V

I have no clue where I am.That was the plan, fly untill I have no clue where I am then land there and start over.

Now I'm getting hungry and my wings ache but I can't land yet. For the last ten minutes I've been watching KF search every street, building and alley of the city while Conner flies above it. The only reason they haven't found me is that they have no reason to look up.

Another ten minutes go by and they leave, I need to land. There's a three story building in what seems to be the not-so-good part of the outskirts of town that seems like a good place to land. I'm ten feet from the top of the building when I hear a gunshot ring out.

Bang.

I see the building rush up to meet me.
