She took her sister's hand and walked out of the door. Dazzle decided to walk her sister to school that day. Her greyish blue eyes were pretty blank that day, her red lips weren't smiling that much and her hazel curls were falling messily on her shoulders. Dazzle was a smart and independent seventeen year old girl. She lived with her lovely parents and her sister in a cosy house in a friendly neighbourhood. She loved her 8 year old sister more than anything in the world. She always played dolls with her and created outfits for her plastic friends. Sewing was pretty much her hobby.
That day it was raining outside, and the wind was blowing heavily. The sky was a steel colour and the big droplets of water were hitting the cold sidewalk with a loud splash. Dazzle held her sister close to her body as she was handling the umbrella. They decided to take a shortcut through a little road next to the forest. As they were walking, Dazzle heard some noises behind her. Somebody was walking behind them, giggling slightly. She stopped and turned around, shoving her sister behind her. A man in a yellow jacket with shaggy brown hair was casually walking behind them. He was facing the pavement and his hands were in his pockets. He could have looked normal if his bright yellow jacket wasn't stained in fresh, red blood that the rain was slowly cleaning. She pushed her sister and screamed at her to run as fast as she could towards the park. Her sister immediately understood the gravity of the situation and sprang off, Dazzle following her.
As soon as she started running the man noticed and started running after her. She continued to run along the dirty road next to the forest. Her red high-heels were not very useful either. As she was running she turned her head seeing that the man was a few feet away from her. Suddenly, her leg got caught in a border and she fell down face first into the cement. Unfortunately, there there was a tree stump right in front of her. She couldn't avoid contact with it, so her left eye was impaled. The pain quickly rushed toward her face. She closed her eyes out if fear. She tried getting up, but she couldn't. She heard the man's footsteps stop next to her and he kneeled down next to her. She tried opening her eyes again, but a strong headache hit her, then everything went dark...

Dazzle woke up in a bright room, or so she taught, her face eyes were covered in some white bandages. She slowly gained her consciousness back and some well known voices were echoing around the room as well as some that she never heard before.
"Mommy! Daddy! She's awake!" her little sister shouted, jumping up and down. Her mother sighted in relief and rushed over to hug her daughter. Then she heard a male speak:
"Miss Smith, could you give us some information about what happened to you in the forest?"
Dazzle tried speaking, but she could only let out a small groan. She tried again and mumbled a yes.
Her parents left the hospital room and the officer started to ask Dazzle questions. He sounded like a young black guy, probably in his late 20s. She told him about the walk to school, the man following her, but she couldn't give the police officer a good description of the man.

A few days later, Dazzle was finally back to her house. She was wearing a black eye patch her left eye.
That day she was going to see herself in the mirror for the first time. She enter the bathroom with her mother and looked into the mirror. Her eyes weren't happy anymore, her skin was paler and her hair was tied up in two pigtails by her sister. She was wearing a black dress with a red bow in the middle and a rose choker. The only thing that didn't change about her were her red lips...
She slowly reaches for her black, pirate like eye patch and lifted it.
A hole.
A big, black, bloody hole.
Her mother gasped and covered her mouth, feeling sick. Dazzle just stared. She looked terrible. She wasn't beautiful. Not anymore.
"Don't worry Dazzle!... The doctor said you're going to get a glass eye next month, and it can be whatever colour you like!.." her mother mumbled.
She started tearing up and she up ran to her room. Her parents tried comforting her, but she didn't want anyone around.

Stitch, stitch, stitch...

"Dazzle, you should rest... It's been a-" her mother gasped.
Dazzle was sitting on her bed, in her beautiful black dress with a needle in her hand.
Blood was dripping down her face. Thick, red, oozing blood...
Dazzle...
She was stitching a button instead of her left eye...
"D-Dazzle..." her mother gulped.
"See? Now I don't need a glass eye anymore! This button is perfect!" Dazzle grinned.
"What?! No! You look terrible!"
"Do I?" Dazzle said getting up, holding a thin piece of thread in her hand. She slowly walked towards her mother, cornering her. She tilted her head and smiled.
"I don't think so..." she whispered, quickly wrapping the string around her mother's neck. Dazzle pulled the strings, slowly, and painfully, cutting into her mother's neck. She kept pulling until she reached the bone, then sat down next to her mother's lifeless corpse.
"I'm as pretty as a princess now... Princess Dazzle..." she said giggling.
Dazzle got up and went to her sister's room. She was sleeping in her bed, holding a doll. The fool had some big, black button eyes, red lips and her hair was tied in pigtails, just like Dazzle's. She grabbed the doll and looked at her sister. She pressed her lips against her forehead, leaving a bloody kiss behind.
"I love you, doll!" she told her sister.
She left the house and started walking down the street, holding her doll in her arms...
There was a figure in the distance, although she was missing an eye and she was tearing up, Dazzle managed to see the silhouette clearly...
A man...
With shaggy hair...
Wearing a yellow jacket...
