The Call

Running home I got a not in my stomach I knew something was wrong. I started discussing it in my mind.

Could I have  forgot something? My knife is with Owen. DAMMIT!! No use in turning back now. I'll just go straight home and grab it later. I got home like 10 minutes later talking to myself and judging people and things silently as I jogged the 7 miles home.

When I finally arrived there there was nobody in the house. Confused I walked to the calendar. FUCK!!!!!!!!! I missed the first day of cross country. I released my anger by punching the metal fridge instantly regretting it. I wrap my hand with an ace bandage when my sister walks through the door. Before I could explain myself she slaps me in the face and punches me in the stomach. God I hate her.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention a few things about my family. My mom was abused by my dad then left. My sister is a slut who gets paid for doing it - guys or girls. My dad always loved my sister but I am a huge disappointment as he says it. So my dad beats me whenever he gets drunk, but when is he really ever sober? My sister beats me because I will be murdered by my dad if I fight back. Between a rock and a hard place.

She is about to go in for another hit the phone rings. Pissed my sister snaps into the phone " Who is this? " She suddenly changes her expression to a questioning look then a small smile barely detectable. All she says is " I am not interested, but I think my brother would love to. I will ask him now," she muted the phone then hissed "I won't tell dad this is quite enough!" "He said yes," she says into the phone. Visibility happy for herself she explains the price I will pay for my sister not telling dad I missed the first day if cross country. "The school is looking for nice students to help incorporate young-umm...well asylum kids. Only 2 are coming a boy and a girl. You have to stay with them everywhere you go. The guy was already being chaperoned so you get the girl who nearly killed a man when trying to control her. She's better now, probably."

Great stuck with an insane girl. I have a week until school starts then I will loose a lot of freedom. I let out a grunt wslk to the door defeated and yell that I'm going out. I dash out the door and rush to Andy's house for my bike then go all the way to Owen's house then to meet Eric. I slowly am jogging there when a dirty van rolls up and 3 guys hop out the back and whip out a knifes. They all have bandanas covering their faces.

"Empty your pockets one demands" so I empty all my pockets I have nothing but old gum wrappers, but they keep coming forward slowly as I get backed into an ally. "I have nothing!" I yell but they keep coming. I step on a beer bottle as I back into a trash bin. I fake a trip and grab the bottle striking the middle guy in the head and swipe the knife. Now on a level playing field they back up into their van and yell at a confused sounding driver to go. I rush back to my fallen attacker and see if he is alive he has glass stuck in his head and looks bad but he is breathing so I take his wallet grab the money and leave the rest. I sprint out of the ally and don't stop till Andy's house. I grab my bike and ride to Owen's house to grab my knife. I am not having a good day at all. I get there and nock on the door when he answers I ask for my knife and head to see Eric.
