I stepped out of my car and looked up at the tall building noticing the upper floors were made of glass walls, probably filled with offices, then I looked down to the double doors. Feeling the pressure that was put on me I made one last debate about doing this, then I walked in.
As soon as I entered I noticed the color scheme was definitely black, white, and forms of grey, and sticking to that was the only visible employ in the whole first room. He was wearing a black vest with a grey dress shirt underneath and black glasses. "Can I help you?" his clear, cold voice asked pointedly, obviously directed at me even though he wasn't looking up from his desk.
"I would like a job application," I reply just as pointedly, without the coldness laced through my voice.
"We don't give out applications here. If you want a job you must take a series of interviews, today will be the first," he replied as if he had repeated this ten times today, my meaning as he said it in the most monotone, robotic voice ever known to mankind.
"What if I haven't come prepared for an interview?" I ask in a surprised and disappointed tone? Because I hadn't come prepared, unless all I need was my driver's licence and cellphone.
"All you need for the first interview is yourself and a way to identify yourself," he says looking up at me through his glasses and I noticed he had dull brown eyes then he looked back down at whatever he was working on.
"Of course brown dull eyes to match his dull life" I thought rudely but definitely didn't state. "How long would I have to wait for an interview?" I asked only to know if I could go home and change into a more buisness like outfit.
"Approximately five minutes," he said looking up once more staring directly into my eyes, then his unemotional features turned into a challenging grin, "Would you like me to set it up?" he asked as if it wasn't even a question as to how I would answer.
"Yes please," I answered setting my lips into a tight line and staring right back into his brown eyes.Hey guys!
