So I feel like an apology is in order.

It's been over a year since I last uploaded an update, and for that there is no real excuse, except that since my last update, I've started university and been distracted with everything that comes with it. The past 16 months since I updated have been a whirlwind of new experiences, and as a result I can honestly say that I forgot about Wattpad and the audience of loyal readers who have been so devoted to my work, and neglected by my absence.

I never intended to be gone for so long - I thought that I'd take a short break of a month or two whilst I settled in, and then resume with Wattpad afterwards, but evidently that wasn't the case. I haven't completed abandoned writing since I last updated; I've been concentrating immensely on bettering my writing as part of my university course, and so I hope that you'll be able to see a reflection of that in the coming updates.

Additionally, the tone of my writing has changed and matured. I'm almost 20 now, and so I guess it's only natural that the topics I would write about when I was 15 - fan fiction and such - would no longer interest me as much as they once did. Having said that, I'm aware that it was my Lazuli series which contributed to the majority of my readers, and so I owe it to you - the readers - to finish the story that I started. When Obsidian is done, you might find that my work becomes completely original and that I never write another fan fiction again, and I'm sorry if this disappoints you, but everything has it's time and I want to expand my style of writing to new areas !

For now though, enjoy Obsidian. Over the years I've poured my heart and soul into these books, and reading them again as I have the past couple of weeks, I've refreshed myself as to the story I had created, and am full of new and exciting ideas regarding the direction the book will take. I've read every comment - the good, the bad and the ugly - and taken everything on board, and promise that I will try my hardest to update this book to its completion.

Thank you for your unrelenting loyalty and patience, and enjoy.

Our father refused to speak to Toby for two weeks because of what he'd done, nor would Toby share a word with him.

The Malfoy family were known for our incessant pride, and clearly both Toby and Dad possessed that gene. Despite the best efforts of my mother and Scorpius, nobody could convince either man to speak to the other. Instead, they would glare ferociously at each other whenever they were forced to interact - which was frequently due to the attention suddenly cast on Toby in the wake of his selection - and they would speak around each other, as if the other wasn't there.

The Daily Prophet were intrigued by the Triwizard Tournament, as was to be expected, and particularly by my brother, the one they deemed as 'The Forgotten Malfoy', much to Toby's fury. My siblings and I were all called to our father's office one day, only to find the deplorable Rita Skeeter, an entourage of photographers and assistants, our parents and even our younger siblings, waiting for us.

We stood behind the camera crew as Rita Skeeter first interviewed Toby, asking him all manners of invasive and rude questions. I watched Toby's jaw tighten repeatedly throughout the interview as her questions became more and more irritating.

"So, Tony..."

"My name is TOBY. As in Tobias."

"Yes, yes, that's what I said. Anyway, why don't you tell us a little about yourself. We know so much about your family - but who are you?"
