“Dreams do come true, if only we wish hard enough. You can have anything in life if you will sacrifice everything else for it.”
― J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

Passing the requirements to be one of their new guitarists is never an easy thing. There are at least 10 rules that I shouldn’t break or else they will remove me. But what if one of my bosses broke that one rule and the rest defended me as well, will they get rid of that rule or they will send me away?

[A year before @ Manila, Philippines]
“Who would’ve thought that letting go is a good thing but never is an easy thing? Not all love stories have a happy ending. Some are just lucky to find the one,” I said ending the story before closing the book which my teacher hand me earlier today. Later that day, the school administration announces who the winner is.
“The winner for our annual reading comprehension this year is… Ms. Aira Chloe!” Mrs. Paddington said. My classmates started to nudge my sides before pushing me towards the stage. I look at the girl who told I will never win against her before smirking at her.
“Congratulations,” Mr. Wales from London said.
“Thank you sir. It is a pleasure to meet you personally, I’m a huge fan,” I said to him. He chuckled at me before patting my back. There’s no other day better than this one. Well, maybe when mom gave birth to me and when I discover One Direction.
After the awarding, I immediately walk towards where my bag is. I grab it before taking the medal off of my neck. I slid it inside my bag before putting it on my shoulder.
“Do you really think you’re already better than me?!” Everything’s in peace until this witch (or just change w to b, better) shows up. I got an idea on how to rub to her face that I win. Maybe she will shut up. Who knows right?
“Is it just me or are you talking to me?” I asked. She huffed before stomping her feet like a kid.
“I am talking to you! You don’t deserve that medal! That is supposedly mine! No one ever take awards other than me!” she rants. I rolled my eyes at her.
“Haven’t you heard that having a change for the better?” I asked dissing her. She huffed before yelling at me again.
“How dare you speak to me that way? Don’t you know me?!” she asked, really really pissed.
“I don’t know you,” I said. She looked at me, her eyes is full of anger.
“I am Heidi Constantia and I am the best student here! No one, Not EVEN you can change that fact!” she said.
“Keep talking. I always yawn when I'm interested.” I said mocking a yawn.
“Maybe you’re an adopted child! You’re not as pretty as your sister or your mother!” she said. That’s the last straw.
“Pardon me, but you've obviously mistaken me for someone who gives a damn,” I said before walking away from her. The rest of the year is like living hell. Heidi and I were always competing against each other but I always win.

[After Graduating, NAIA Airport]
I’m finally done with studying but now I have to work. Mr. Wales called me and asked if I’m interested to work for his friend’s company. Syco Entertainment. He also told me that it’s just a part time job but can be permanent if I want to. It’s not related to my course but he said it is easy. I gladly accepted it and now here I am.
“You’ll do good there right sweetie?” my mom asked for the hundredth time already since yesterday.
“I’m going to do good there mom, you don’t have to worry. I’ll call you either on your phone or skype. Just always remember that I love you mom,” I said before hugging her tightly.
“This is the final boarding call for passengers Aira and Justin Chloe booked on flight PR0720 to. Please proceed to terminal 2 immediately. The final checks are being completed and the captain will order for the doors of the aircraft to close in approximately five minutes time. I repeat. This is the final boarding call for Aira and Justin Chloe. Thank you.” I look at my parents before letting go of the tight hug I'm giving my mom.
“I guess this is where I should say farewell?” I asked still unsure of my decision.
“Justin, I know you’re not staying at London but can you assure me to check on her when you’re not busy?” Mom ask my cousin Justin.
“Of course I will. We should really go now or we’ll miss our flight,” she said before pulling our luggage. Living this country where I grow up is never gonna be an easy thing but if this is for the better. And just like what Manilyn Monroe said before, everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
I will be back here and I will help my family. I will be back here as a better person.
[A/N: The title is supposedly Underdog but I can't get any inspiration about it but this is Underdog xx]
