Saiki POV

Our eyes both darted towards the door. (F/n) looked especially scared.
"Ahh! (F/n)-chan! And Saiki-san! Long time no see!" A woman with similar features as (F/n)-chan walked in. I assumed it was her mom.
"So this is the pink haired boy you told me about a long time ago, isn't he? I remember you would talk about him A LOT. Oh man it was obvious you liked him. I didn't even have to read your mind to know that!"
"M-Mom! What are you doing here? I thought you were at-"
"You should be happy I'm back! Ahh and Saiki-san, I don't think I ever told you but I'm (F/n)-chan's mom! And I'm a psychic too! That's where she gets her sweet features." She winked at me. I wasn't very surprised her mom was a psychic. But what really struck me was the fact that (F/n)-chan would talk about me a lot. I didn't think she would. But her mom seems nice. The positive type. Though, some positive people hold dark secrets.
"Also, I'm the only one who can read her mind." She said. I looked at (F/n)-chan with wide eyes. She looked away.
"Oho. (F/n), is he your boyfriend or something? You have some pretty weird thoughts going on in there."
"Y-Yes he is but... You didn't have to mention that last part!" She blushed.
"Oh it's not that bad. I'm sure he loves you as much as you do! Right Saiki-san?" I just looked at (F/n) and nodded back at her mom.
"Kusuo-kun!" She shouted. Her mom noticed the bandages.
"Hm? What happened here? Not to mention your clothes are a bit blood stained." She looked at (f/n) her mom turned serious. Her expression went from a kind smile, to a serious straight face.
"What happened?" She asked.
"I got into a little trouble... Someone kidnapped me. But luckily, Kusuo-kun saved me!" She laughed nervously.
"Ahh I see. That's good to know. Anyway, it's been awhile since I've been home. Ever since your dad left us, I've had to work elsewhere."
"Mom, do you know where dad went?"
"No, not exactly. I hope he's not up to no good. He knows about us as well. We wouldn't want him telling things around where he is."
"But then again, he could be just drinking." (F/n)-chan replied.
"Yes, but I'd rather not think about that." Turns out, they had a messed up family.

Your POV

It was a long time since I've seen dad. We lost him before the flight.

"Mom, where's dad?"
"I'm not sure sweetie. I'm sure he'll be here soon."
"He said he would meet us here, right mom?"
"Yes. And I'm sure that's exactly what he's gonna do."
"Okay." We waited for my dad. It was two hours before our flight. We got there early in case anything happened to give us allowance. Just in case. I sat there waiting. I brought out a book I bought at one of the gift shops. It was a book about how a princess fled from home, and made friends with the townspeople, then lived a normal life as an undercover princess. She met a boy and they both fell in love. But then her parents scolded her after finding out she was living in the town. I looked at the clock. thirty minutes passed. It was almost time to board the plane.
"Mommy, where's dad? It's almost time to go."
"I... I don't know... I'll call him."
"Okay. I hope he comes soon..." I listened to mom calling dad. She looked worried.

"Mom, is dad coming?"
"..."
"Mom?"
"..."
"M-Mom?"
"We'll have to go now."
"But what about Dad-"
"There's nothing we can do now. We have to leave."
"But Mom-"
"C'MON LET'S LEAVE ALREADY!" She shouted at me. She never shouted at me before.
"Okay..." I muttered. We boarded the plane. Not knowing where my father was.

I woke up to reality.
"Hoy. (F/n)-chan. You're daydreaming. Snap out of it."
"You alright?"
"I'm fine.-"
"I see you remembered that time." My mom emphasised the 'that'
"Yeah... When dad disappeared..."
"Sorry about shouting at you by the way."
"Yeah it's cool."
"By the way... Who's cat is this...?"
"Shiro!" The kitten jumped into my lap. I pet it. I cuddled it.
"Where were you Shiro?"
"It seems like it followed us home."
"Yeah..."
"It's a nice kitten. We should get it a collar."
"Wait, I can keep it?"
"Yeah, sure! I mean, I'm not home a lot like this. So it's nice to have company. As long as you take care of it."
"I will!"
"Company won't be a problem because I'm here." I blushed and looked away.
"That's good to know." The cat snuggled in my lap.
"Anyway. I should cook up something for you two. It must've been a long and hard day." (Mango: That's what she said.)
"Yeah. Thanks mom." I missed my mom's cooking. She always cooked nice stuff.
"I'll make some takoyaki today!"
"Yay! One of my favourites!" Shiro jumped off my lap. I let her wonder around a bit.
"You like takoyaki?"
"Yeah!" I saw my mom preparing the takoyaki.  Kusuo was staring at me. His glare was fixated on me.
"U-Um..." I couldn't help but look back. It was magnetising. I was drawn in. Like a black hole. I couldn't get enough about the way he stared at me. I felt him grab my hand. He entwined our fingers. I think we were staring at each other for a straight five minutes.

"Hey! You two! Who's winning the staring contest?" I snapped out of it. And so did Kusuo. His eyes darted at the table. I looked at the table. It was a coffee jello. He let go of my hand and walked over to the table. He grabbed the coffee jello, he was about to eat it but my mom took it away from him.

"You're gonna spoil your appetite. You can have it later." He pouted and walked away. He sat back down beside me. I let out a small giggle. I didn't know he had an obsession for coffee jello.
"It's okay. You don't need to get jealous. I love you a bit more than I love coffee jello." I blushed.
"Here! It's ready!" My eyes lightened up and I ran to the table.
"Yay!!" I saw down. My mom put my plate down. I was so ready to eat. My mouth was watering.
"Thank you for the food!" I said. And I enjoyed my wonderful dinner.
