Odd though it may sound, I miss Wattpad. It's been at least three months since I've really spent any time here, and I miss bothering all my favourite people (and there are so many of you!). I've discovered that I only end up here if I'm actually writing at the time. And, as you can guess, I really haven't written much of anything in a long, long time.
So, here is my plan: I am going to write at least three little things a week, until Wattpad tells me I've run out of space, or we hit January 1st, 2017 - whichever comes first. In order to force myself to do it, I will allow you to police me (and perhaps provide you with a small modicum of entertainment) by posting the works here.
I like writing to prompts, so that's what I'm doing - I spent Thursday evening scouring writing websites for prompts that spoke to me and came up with an even hundred. I obviously won't use them all, and some I may use more than once, but I'm pretty happy with what I found. There are a lot of great sites with amazing prompts out there. Therefore, for each entry, I'll be sure to post the prompt, and the website I got it from, after the story. If you enjoy writing to prompts, too, then I know you will be happy with some of the sites you will discover through these prompts!
Now, I don't promise that these works will be good. I have only set myself two rules: that everything I write as part of this series will be fictional, and that everything will be short. Some of these will be proper short stories, but if I feel like writing a simple vignette or description, that's what I'll write, and I make no apologies for doing so. While I intend to write in a variety of genres, I can't really control what the prompts inspire, and you'll get what you get. And everything's a first (or more accurately, only) draft, with no exceptions.
Now then, let's get started. Will I be able to keep to my proposed schedule? Well, I've got a couple of things already ready to go . . .
