A long time ago, in the ancient times of Krypton, an old king had united the kryptoniansinto one united kingdom. The king then gathered the greatest warriors from around the world and founded The Order of the Knights of Krypton. The Knights lived in the palace of the old kingdom's capital of Kandor and was also the place where meetings and ceremonies were held. The Knights held a code of honor and have sworn to defend the innocent and slay the guilty.
To this day, the Order survives due to the Law of Succession. If a knight dies, he or she must name a successor or an apprentice to take their place. The has been one incident where a knight has died before naming a successor. The fallen knight's sword was placed on a stone tablet which foretold a prophecy. The prophecy states that whoever lifts this sword, should he be worthy, shall become the successor to the fallen knight. But there was a dark side to this proghecy. It states that the worthy weilder will bring destruction down upon the Order of Justice.
Some people tried to pull the sword out, others avoided the sword because of its prophecy. No one would dare strike down good hearted knights who have sacrificed their lives for the greater good. Until one day, a young man called Gal-Had, lifts the sword from the tablet and from that moment on, his fate would take somewhere offworld, far off into the cosmos. Towards a small, blue and green planet called...Earth.
