A teenage boy, Seth discovers that he can access "blankspace," an entirely empty universe contained between the molecules of his own body. With the ability to instantly transport anything to blankspace, he decides to take advantage of his power by ruling the real world and the "blankspace" world.
When people obviously refuse at first to his rising, he will simply put them deep in their minds where in their "blankspace" all their nightmares come to life at his command, forcing them submit to his whim and will, having them on their knees pleading for mercy. And while he breaks them and reshapes them, he will withdraw them from the backs of their mind and into a new "blankspace" world he's created altogether. Suddenly, a resistance starts to form in the last hundreds of people in the real world. But this resistance keeps shrinking, smaller and smaller day by day they submit to him, then he finds a group of teens like himself that have abilities, but they seem to all be different, he seizes this opportunity by taking a girl-Hailey.
This girl-Hailey has an ability that she refuses to let him discover, or the beautiful world she once knew would come crashing down at her footsteps.
As his tolerance for her shrinks and his anger grows, he decides upon her fate until she speaks- his slave. He's made it very clear that he will find her secrets out, one way or another.
As the both of their emotions go from lust, to pleasure, to anger, to hate, but finally to sorrow, Seth has now unlocked another ability, this ability can inflict any emotion onto anyone with the thought of it, or speaking of it. He's now grown intolerable of her actions, not realizing his own actions, he placed her in "blankspace" and made her feel of sadness, grief, sorrow, death, and-emptiness.
She was now slowly slipping away into a dark world that was threatening to consume her. She slowly and hesitantly started to give in. Finally, she was listening to his commands, doing as he asked, and told, she even let him know of some secrets like what really happened to all of the people that he had put in "blankspace" and reshaped. It was simple really, "The beginning of the end". But she still wouldn't speak of her ability.
Anger raged through him, and he'd just cut off all connections to her for days, only to come back to her to find her surrendering and submitting herself towards him.
He'd found her weakness alright-her own fears that turn into nightmares in blankspace.
But this new found weakness could push her to her own downfall, her own caressing sleep would eventually find its way to her.
Will he risk her life for the handful of secrets that she has to hold? Can she overcome the hypnotic state of kenos? Can she survive all the pain and torture that he's weighed down on her shoulders?
Or will she ever resist the kenos and its darkness?
