"Momma?", the little boy called. "Yes, Sebastian?" The sweet mother replied while tucking her son into bed and under the covers, all nice and warm... And protected.
"Will you read me a bedtime story?". The child, Sebastian smiled brightly while pleading with his mom to read him a fairy tale of some sort with his sweet and angelic eyes.
"Oh, I think you're to old for that Sebastian, wouldn't you agree?".
"Oh come on mom please! I'll do extra chores tomorrow! I'll do anything just plea-", "Haha, I suppose I could read a bed time story to you once more, but why don't we make it more grown up tonight? Hmmm, I think you've gotten to old for fairy tales."
"Okay momma, any story you tells a great story."
"Than lets listen to the love story of a monster.", the child nodded already interested from the sentence she spoke of.
And with that the mother began, repeating a story that's been passed down generation to generation, father to daughter, mother to son and so on.
" Well, there was once a child with great powers. These powers were casted down throughout his family. His family was the first of their.. Kind. And of course, money and power coursed through they're very old bloodline. His family was considered "gifted" from the eyes of envy, and "cursed" from the eyes of afraid.
But you see this child was never cursed, nor was anyone that was bestowed with these amazing talents and gifts of an angel.
What the eyes of the blind never understood was that there were 3 types of angels, the Light angels with good intentions and action, the Fallen angels with good intentions, but yet bad actions. And sadly, the Darkened angels, with purely evil intentions and actions."The mother hesitated a moment, with pain, regrets, and grief shortly washing over her face. But none the less she continued with her mysterious and magical story.
"Not everyone could understand this. And of course, every angel chooses it's own path. No one can stop it from releasing it's inner powers once they've fallen as well. However, there are some beliefs." She paused recalling on the theories and beliefs.
The little boys curiosity got the best of him as he asked, "Like what kind of beweefs momma?" She smiled warmingly, coming out of her dazed thought.
"Like true love. Your one and only. Only them, and them only can help bring you back to yourself. But there are limits of course, like most things in the world. Once your too far gone, the only thing able to stop you is God himself. But your great, great grandfather was brought back to himself by his wife, and your great, great grandmother." She said calmly. Barely above a whisper.
"Oooh momma! Tell me that story! I wanna hear that one!" The young boy begged on and on.
"Yes yes, alright," the mother constipated where to begin with the complex story of their family's passed down love story from their beginning.
"It all started when your great great grandfather had begun to have trouble in his life. Now, he had started out as a Fallen angel to begin with, mind you. His father was a Darkened angel who had fell in love with a pure Light angel. Tragic love story from the start." The mothers features had turned soft as she relinquished in her memories.
"He had lost his younger sister Daphne, to a Darkened angel. His little sister had meant the world to him. And his parents blamed him for her death, for months he walked around with the guilt of her death that hung over his shoulders. Eventually he had picked up bad habits, which evolved the art of trickery and deception. He carried himself on faulty pride, full of mischief as he stormed through his life carelessly. His father had formed habits of his own as well. His mother was his fathers personal victim and the house he had called home for so many years, was foreign and unsafe. And one night he heard his mothers beatings and snapped. His Fallen angel soul had cracked and plummeted to that of a Darkened one,"
the mother paused as a concerned look overwhelmed her face as she saw the fear reflect through her sons eyes."Don't stop mommy, I gots to be bwave and fight through this. That's the only way things get happier again," said the young adventurous child.
The mother smiled deeply at her child before continuing,
"For months your great great grandfather had taken pride in the pain he inflicted on others. He was selfish and empowering, he had no need for anything but power. But his hunger never stayed satisfied, he always wanted more. And eventually his desires changed for more physical attentions as he met his mate, your great great grandmother. She was his light, as was he her darkness. Together they grew, she showed him his selfish faults as he reflected her naive faults back to her. They filled each others missing prices to their hearts. They became a true love story."The mother had a lone tear slide down her left cheek. The boy had sprung from under the covers and wiped her tear.
He hugged her tightly as she frowned. When he pulled back from his mothers embrace she was smiling softly.
"Now I'll tuck you in and it's time for bed. You can't be late for your own 'of coming' tomorrow can you now?" exasperated the mother quietly as she tucked him back under his silk threads of covers.
"Goodnight mommy, I love you."
"Goodnight Sebastian, I love you too." The mother replied endearingly as she switched off the lights and softly closed the door.
