"Please?"
"No."
"Why not?"
"I end up being the third wheel."

     (BF/N) pouted as you crossed your arms, defiant upon missing the carnival with your friend and her boyfriend. "But (F/N)! It's the first time in years they actually have the carnival!" (BF/N) whined. You only scowled. "Like I care," you snapped, your patience running low. (BF/N) sighed. She sank into a chair which was conveniently placed beside her. Suddenly, she brightened up. "I'll buy you (favourite carnival food)," she coaxed. You thought for a moment before sighing. "Fine, I'll go," you gave in. "Yes!" (BF/N) celebrated. She burst out of your room, yelling about how she was going to go tell her boyfriend. You knew how this was going to end.

     Kids ran around as their parents chased them. Teenagers were carrying big stuffies and all the rides were occupied with people screaming and laughing. You watched as your friend clung to her boyfriend. "Ooh, lets go on that ride!" Your friend squealed as she pointed at a ride that had long arms that spun around. You followed them onto the ride, but you ended up getting a separate seat from the couple. You decided that you'd find them after and enjoyed the ride.

     "I still don't know why I have to be here," Tsukishima grumbled. "It's team bonding! And you're a part of the team too!" Daichi nagged. Tsukishima just groaned in response. "Oh hey, isn't that (S/N)-chan from your class, Tsukishima?" Hinata asked. He pointed to a girl with (h/c) hair, who was getting F on a ride. "Tch," Tsukisha responded. It was indeed, (Y/N), who Tsukishima just so happened to have a crush on. Of course, he denied it completely.

     Yamaguchi looked at Tsukishima, knowing that the beanpole did have a crush on the girl. "Let's go on some rides! Maybe we'll see (S/N) later, we can say hello then," Sugawara offered. Hinata, Nishinoya and Tanaka whooped and hollered. They ran off, with their poor team chasing after them (much like the kids and parents mentioned at the beginning of the chapter ;))

     You got off the ride. You'd enjoyed yourself a lot, laughing whenever you passed by (BF/N), who looked sick. You hopped off the ride, making your way out the exit. You looked around for your friend and her boyfriend, but you couldn't see them anywhere.

     You began to panic, eyeing the crowd around. "I'll find them later, I knew that I'd end up alone anyways, right? I'll just enjoy myself and keep an eye out for them," you muttered to yourself.

     You spotted a ride that you wanted to try out, the Polar Express, and headed toward it. The ride was made of many carts connected in a circle, which went around backwards.

     You handed the operator your ticket before beginning your quest to find an empty seat. Which, of course, with your luck failed. You spotted one guy sit down in one of the carts. You recognized him as Tsukishima Kei, one of your classmates. But you didn't really want to sit with him, since your friends told you that he was incredibly rude. But, you took your chances and ignored what your friends said.

    "E-excuse me, may I sit here?" You asked timidly. "Sure," he replied. His gaze was bored and his tone was monotone, giving you the impression he was dragged here. "You're (S/N) (F/N), right?" he asked suddenly. You jumped a bit at his voice, surprised that he spoke. "Uh, yes," you responded. "Wow, you're shorter up close than I thought you were," he snickered, "I'm surprised they let you on the ride." You were very annoyed by his comment. He certainly lived up to your expectations.

     "Alright let's get started! Please keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times! Enjoy the ride," the operator announced. The carts began to rotate backwards, speeding up ever so slightly. The ride went faster by a bit more, and a minute in, the operator spoke again, "Who wants to go faster?" Everyone whooped and hollered, and the ride went even faster. You were barely clinging onto the cart. Tsukishima was holding on for dear life.

     Then, Tsukishima let go of the bar, sending him tumbling on top of you. You yelped, since Tsukishima was practically twice your size. The ride slowed down, and Tsukishima managed to slide back over to his side. The ride slowed to a stop and you visibly relaxed.

     Tsukshima snickered beside you. "Did I crush your tiny figure?" you glared at him. "Tsukki!" Someone yelled from behind. Three people ran up. One of them you recognized as Yamaguchi, who was from your class. "Ah, (S/N)-San!" Yamaguchi said. You waved, giving him a smile. You tuned to the other two. "(S/N) (F/N)," you introduced yourself and they introduced theirselves ("H-Hinata Shoyo and Kageyama Tobio!").

     "Did you come alone, (S/N)-San?" Yamaguchi asked. You shook your head. "I was with my friend and her boyfriend, but I lost them at one point," you explained, scratching your neck. You all began to head for the exit. "I'm sure Tsukki wouldn't mind your company," Yamaguchi offered. "Really?" You asked, looking at Tsukishima for proper approval. "Tch. Fine. You'll probably be much more sufferable than our team," Tsukishima muttered.

     "Thank you!" You said happily. You reminded yourself to thank (BF/N) later. Maybe it was worth it to come after all?
