We reached the house in under ten minutes. "Where's Alice!" I shouted at one of the investigators.
"We don't know sir. Please calm down we'll find out soon." How could I possibly be calm. The love of my life went missing.
I ran to her green room that was concealed with plastic wrapping. I looked around desperately. The voices around me faded away and the started to fuzzy. Next thing I knew was that I was on Alice's bed that was also covered with plastic wrap. A couple men and Alice's mother was standing around me. "Tristan, Tristan, oh my gosh he awake. Hey go easy." I knew she was more worried than I was.
"Where's Alice?" I was so blurred out that they most likely thought that I was drunk.
A investigator looked at me with steady eyes, "Mr. Tristan we found a knife under her bed and the blood type was... C which means that it was most likely to be hers. And we found mud foot prints in the window seel. So my theory for now is that she was taken."
I couldn't handle it much more in that room after those words. So I got up and walk to a tree swing in her backyard that lead to a forest that they had fenced off many years ago. I couldn't believe what was happening. "Why, why, why?" I whispered to myself.
A flash back hit his mind. If anything happens to me don't worry I'll be find. Alice was trying to tell me something after all. She was running away. I ran to the investigator, "I know what happened to her!" I pulled the investigator to the side. "Just before she left she told me that if anything happens don't worry I'll be fine. I think she was trying to tell me that she was going to run away."
"I like you're thinking kid but I don't think that's what happened. We'll bring her home so don't worry. Just go home and get eat some milk and cookies and leave it all to us." Clearly he didn't like kids.
But I did go home and sat on my. I couldn't sleep that night, I needed something to get her off my mind. So I grabbed my book I was reading. It was a mystery book about a girl who had to fight, its called A Fight That Must Be Won. I saw something highlighted in my book. It said, as the girl said her final breath goodbye she said "I'll be fine."  Wait is she trying to tell me something.
