"Daddy I don't want to go. Please don't make me." Stephanie cried as she struggled to keep her daddy from strapping her into the car seat she had.
"Princess this is your best friends sweet sixteen. You have to go. " he frown as the sound of the seat belt clicked. She squirmed, whining loudly.
"But daddy there are gonna be lots of people there! I dun like people!" She attempted to unbuckle herself, earning a soft slap on her hand. She frown, her eyes watering. He sighed, kissing her head.
"Baby just try it for a little and if you can't handle it then call me and I will pick you up, alright?" He asked, holding her hand and tracing little patterns with his thumb. The girl nodded apprehensively, afraid of what was to come. She stirred uncomfortably in the car seat as the man got into the drivers seat and started the car.

When the pair pulled up to the house the man hurriedly unbuckled Stephanie from her car seat. He had to get her out of the car and changed into her bathing suit before she could go in with her gift. He picked her up and carried her to the restrooms with her bag of pool supplies, quickly changing her. He handed her the bag, which now had her clothes, a towel, and sunscreen so she wouldn't burn, returning to the car to grab the large box that was the present. After setting it down he kissed the top of her head, smiling softly at her while he told her he had to go to the store, reminding her if she needed him she could text him. After he finished getting her to let him go he quickly ran off, not giving time to latch back on.
Stephanie took a hesitant step towards the party area of the pool, playing with the ruffles on her dotted swimwear. Her friends saw her from the corner of the pool and waved her over, while two ran out to great her into a tight hug. The water from their suits dripped onto her, soaking her front before she even hopped into the water. She giggled, pushing her friends back.
The blonde one smiled at her and said "I was wondering when my bestie would show up. Bet you made a fuss on the way here. Guess it's good few people showed up." She had a hint of sadness when the last words were spoken. Stephanie smiled sadly and walked toward the pool, pulling the girls with her. The pool had five people in it, which made Stephanie's anxiety decrease a bit, as there was an estimated forty  people to show up. The girls all splashed around for a while until cake was brought out and they all rushed to get a slice. Soon after people started leaving. Stephanie pouted when the first person left. She was having so much fun with the other girls. As the rest of the people left she was lest with her and her best friend along with a bunch of adults. They were all cleaning up, other than Stephanie, and she started to feel really bad and wanted to ask if anyone needed help. She opened her mouth to ask a nice looking brunette male, but he looked busy so she quickly shut her mouth. This went on with a couple other guests before the amount of people became overwhelming and she felt her breath hitch. The beginning of a panicking attack grasping to take hold, clenching around her throat, closing off her airway. She struggled to breath and held onto a wall tightly, her knuckles going white. She gasped silently for air, tugging at her towel wrapped tightly around her, compressing her body. She couldn't stand it. She was in the middle of a horrible panic attack and the lack of oxygen intake was making her lightheaded. Her phone was in her bag, which she struggled to fumble through and grab, dialing the number for the voice that always calmed her down. He picked up on the first ring.
"Whats wrong baby?" Were the first words to come through the speakers. She only let out a gasp, desperately trying to get air. The man shushed her, the gesture instantly calming the girl. She caught her breath while the man continued to shush her, whispering sweet nothing's through the phone. "I'm on my way baby girl don't worry. Get changed into dry clothes and stay in the bathroom until I get there. I'll be there soon. " and the couple said I love yous and hung up. Stephanie took a deep breath and smiled. He always knew just what to do and that was why he was such a good daddy.

I'm sorry it's been so long. This is a short chapter I've been working on for a while but haven't been able to piece together until today. It's probably not my best work but I've got it done and that's what's most important. Also the picture is the bathing suit I used as inspiration for Stephanie's outfit.
