A/N Warning! I cried while writing this chapter. Get out your tissues and food.

I woke up later to the smell of the Impala. At least I know it wasn't a dream. I sat up and stretched. I felt my hand brush against fabric. I quickly turned around and prepared for a fight. I cocked my head curiously at a man about my dad's age sitting next to me. He had raven-black hair and wore a tan trench coat.

"Who the hell are you, and why are you in my dad's car?" I whispered. I assumed that Dad and Sam went into the abandoned warehouse in front of me. They told me that if I fell asleep, they would leave me in the car.

"Hello, Marley. I am Castiel. I'm an angel of the lord," the man spoke in a deep, intimidating voice.

"That doesn't answer my question," I pressed. I almost held my arm to his throat, but he was an angel. I don't know how to hurt him.

"Dean told me to watch you, in case anything happens," he explained. His voice was very monotone. I looked him in the eyes to see if he was lying. I have a gift. I was shocked at how blue they were. They looked like the sky on a summer day.

"You have nice eyes, Castiel," I complemented. I decided I would be nice. He was Dad's friend.

"Thank you, Marley," He nodded and looked out the window. I pulled out my sketch book and decided to draw him. He must have heard the scratching of the pencil because he turned around and looked at my paper, "What are you drawing?" He asked curiously.

"You. Now go back to staring out the window. You're messing me up," I commanded jokingly.

"Of course," he appeared to be, was that fear?

"Cas, it's a joke," I told him. I held back laughter.

"Oh," he seemed relieved. He wasn't even bothered at the fact I called him Cas. He looked out the window, and I drew.

Ten minutes later, he sat up taller. He looked at me seriously, "We have to go in, Sam and Dean are in trouble," he touched my forehead and before I could protest, we were in the warehouse. I had a beautiful silver-colored knife in my hand, Cas had one too. He motioned for me to follow him. I nodded and stayed close.

"When I count to three, stand behind me and prepare to fight," he whispered. I nodded.

"One," I held my knife tighter.

"Two," I stepped back a bit.

"Three," The door was burst down and we ran into the room. I gasped at the sight. Dad and Sam were bloody, unconscious in a chair. Next to them was someone I never thought I would see again. Mom.

I ran over to her, ignoring Cas' yelling. As I ran, I felt someone throw me against the wall. My blade dropped out of my hand and I felt like I couldn't breathe. I was held against the wall by an invisible force. I heard a slash, a high pitched noise, and Cas breathing heavily.

"Hello, love," I heard a male voice across the room. A figure appeared out of the shadows. He was a bit on the heavier side, but not out of shape. He wore a dark suit and had a bit of scruff on his chin, "I knew you and angel boy would show up eventually."

I tried to move, but I couldn't, "And who might you be, b!tch?" I spat. I looked over at Cas and saw him on the ground, struggling to stay concious.

He looked at me with amusement, "Tsk tsk. Now, now, name calling isn't very nice," he scolded.

I rolled my eyes, "Let's try this again, who might you be, b!tch?" I felt the nervousness replace my adrenaline. I decided I would keep going until Cas or someone came up with an idea.

"Crowley," he half-shouted. He took a bow, "at your service."

"What did you do to them?" I asked. My fear was leaking into my words.

"I merely knocked them out. I don't want Squirrel or his Moose interrupting our little party here," he walked closer to me. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Cas drag himself towards Sam and Dean, "And I will be the one asking the questions here, seeing as I am in possession of the knife here," Crowley glanced at his knife, it looked like the one that Cas and I possessed, and looked up at me smiling.

I started to break into a nervous sweat. Cas was still working on getting Dad and Sam back to consciousness. Dad was starting to wake and Cas put hand over his mouth to stop him from talking.

"So, how are you, dear? Enjoying life before your powers come?" Crowley asked me. I stared at him confusion.

I crinkled my nose, "What powers?"

"Oh? Did you not know? Mommy dearest didn't tell you?" He looked at Mom and back at me. I panicked when he looked at Mom. Luckily, Cas hid and Dad pretended to still be unconscious.

He looked at he, amused. He opened his mouth to speak but got cut of by Dad attacking Crowley. I fell off the wall with a grunt. I ran across the room to wake Sam up.

I slapped him in the face and shook his head, "Sam! Up and at 'em! Dad needs help!" I yelled. I shook him some more and he woke up.

"Marley?" Sam muttered. I nodded happily.

"Yeah! Yeah, Sam, it's me! C'mon! You gotta help Dad!" I handed him a blade and he jolted awake. He saw the fight and stood to help.

By this point, Dad was pinned against the wall, wide eyed. Sam ran with a battle cry and attacked Crowley. I laughed a bit and turned to Mom.

"Mom? Wake up!" I shook her like I did Sam.

"Mom! Mom!" I yelled in happiness when she stirred. She was in really bad shape. There was a deep cut on her cheek and bruises covered her arms and legs like clothes.

"Marley," she whispered weakly. Her face was pale from blood loss.

"Mom," I was tearing up from a mix of sadness seeing her like this, and happiness from knowing she was alive. Out of nowhere, Crowley arrived behind Mom.

"Nice knowing you, love," He said evilly. Before I could comprehend what was happening, I saw a glint of metal in his hand. I watched in horror and shock as he plunged the knife into her back. Mom's back arched and I felt sick at the sight of the bloody tip of knife poking through her stomach. But I felt another feeling. Was that, amusement?

Crowley looked satisfied and he teleported away.

"Mom!" I yelled. I held her close and cried. I felt her blood soak into my Guns 'n Roses shirt.

I heard Dad yell at Cas about something. I turned around to look at the two men, just to see Cas shake his head and yell something back. Dad came over and hugged me from behind. I felt his warm tears drip onto my neck. I cried a bit more when I heard a soft whisper.

"Marley," Mom reached out and grabbed my hand. I felt a cold metal. I smiled and she closed her eyes. My smile quickly faded.

"Mom? Mom!" I screamed for her to come back. I screamed, I cried, I shrieked, I shook her until my arms felt numb, "MOM!" I gave one last yell before collapsing in her bloody arms, not caring that I was now covered in her blood, "Mom," I whispered. I turned and sobbed into Dad's chest. He was tired and allowed me to collapse. He cried a little too.

I felt him let me go and a new pair of strong arms covered in fabric carried me to the Impala. I looked up at Cas' face. He didn't notice my movement and continued his journey. I looked back at my hand. It was still clenching whatever Mom gave me. I opened it and saw a beautiful gold necklace. It had a gold charm in the shape of a cross. Next to it was another charm. Engraved on it were four words. I put it on and loved the feeling of the warm metal on my neck. I smiled at the necklace and fell asleep. Right there, in the angel's arms, while those four words swam through my head.

I will protect you.
