Lilly had woken up in the same position she had fallen asleep in. Her eyes burned from the salted tears she cried last night. They almost felt like fire as she covered her eys from the bright, burning sun gleaming through her window. Her phone vibrated non-stop. The squad was spamming the instagram DM. Looking at the chat curiosity but never joining in. Out of no where her mother screamed her name from her room.

"Lilly!" she cried. "Get out of bed this instant! You have alot to do today!"

With a groan she rised from the comfort of her bed and the conversation of her friends.  Lilly hid her phone under the pillow and walked out the door to an angry woman in curlers and what looked like a T-shirt that got laced piled ontop of it. Lilly had to bite her tounge just to stop from giggling at the sight. Her mother looked to her with a cold stare. Lilly scurried into the kitchen and grabbed the long list that sat on the counter. Most of the objects listed was just junk she wanted. Others was food. Lilly added school supplies to the list. Her father looked over at her writting on the list and snatched the flimsy paper from her hands.

"So you need school supplies?" He grumbled. "what's wrong with last years?" He sternly asked. Lilly shyly backed away into the counter farthest from her father.

"Y-you threw out l-last years stuff." she replied. She gre tense from the sideways glance he gave her. He raised an eyebrow at her then handed her the list and his wallet.

"Just get what's on the list nothing more than what you need or so help me god if i find out you bought anything else i'll feed you to the gators in the swamp!" he spat. She slowly crept around him. He never once took an eye off her till she ran out the door purse, list, and wallet in hand. Once far away from the appartment she took in a quick breath shutting her eyes.

Thump!

She was suddenly on the ground and her head hurt like crazy as if something hit her. She opened her eyes to only see the sky.

"Hey! watch where you're..." The voice trailed off as she sat up to see a boy. He didnt seem to bad. He wore a black T-shirt with her favorite band on it. His hair was a little bit of a mess and his eyes a dull blue. She instantly became embarrassed and shy.

"I-i'm s-so sorry, i d-din't mean to run into y-you like that." she said shyly getting to her feet. He smiled at her as she wiped the dirt from her torn jeans.

"No worries, it was my fault." He had that cool tone. She could not put her finger on what intention he was making. Without saying another word she walked away. Was she buring up? Was he watching her walk away? Her checks felt as if they were on fire as she noticed they began to go red with embarrassment. She reached the apartment with everything on the list. she even got a new bag for school. It had one of her favorite anime on it. Her father looked through the bags as Lilly stood back from him. She began to tremble as a grin crossed his face.

"Lilly you did good. You did not not buy any unnecissary things. Now make dinner before i get hungry." She rushed to the stove and turned it on. She hated it when her parents grew hungry they would beat her even more if it wasn't the way they wanted it or was not fed. Without warning a hand fell upon her cheek and she went flying into the counter. She took a hold of the stove top. Her hand burned as she grew to attention that her hand was on the burner. Her father's smile was now a cold stone stare of death. She grew really afraid.

"You  bought a new bag?!" he retorted. "I know for a fact you already have one and you surley dont need this garbage." he snarled. She swallowed a lump in her throat as he grabbed her burnt hand she was craddling and slapped her across the face again slamming her head into the cabnet next to her. She gritted her teeth trying not to scream from the pain she just endured.

"I don't want to hear or see you for the rest of the night!" he snarled. Once he released her wrist she ran into her room. She sat on her bed totally forgeting about the blinds being open. She looked into the mirror hanging on her wall. No blood could be seen. that was good. Not until she faced the window did she notice that the boy she met on the highway stood there. He took out a notepad and wrote something. "Can you open the window?" it said. She did so being careful not to make any noise.

"Hey are you ok?" he asked with that cool tone. Lilly nodded her head. "That's a lie." he said dropping the cool act.

"W-what do you mean?" her voice became raspy.

"I heard the whole thing that happened outside your door." He explained. She looked up to him.

"What are you a stalker or something?" she asked in defense.

"Sorry but i actually live nextdoor. I just happened to see you walk into this door when i was on my way home and remembered you from the highway incedent." Lilly grew really embarrassed and put her head down.

"It's fine. It's nothing new." Lilly explained to him. Her cheeks becoming more and more flushed. She could feel his gaze on her.

"Ok then. Guess i'll see you around." He then walked away with that cool stride. Lilly listened to the door being open then shut. Just before she shut her window she then heard a crash.
