Marina walked outside. She could almost smell the autumn air coming as it got closer to September. She could hear her neighbor, Drew, talking to someone. Could it be him? She wasn't sure. As Marina walked closer she could hear a familiar voice. It was Bruce. Her crush. Marina's legs felt like jelly and her heart raced. She had always had a crush on him. He came over to Drew's house a lot. Her parents even thought he had a crush on her.
She walked over to the fence and peered over it. Her cheeks turned as red as too big cherries. Finally the courage built up in her to go see them. She jumped over the fence. "Hey Marina." Drew called out. "H-hi." It was hard for her to speak in front of Bruce. "We're going to go in the basement and play video games. You coming?" Marina's heart pounded at this point. "Sure." They all walked down into the basement. Marina loved Drew's basement. It was always had a chair that spun around. "Can you push me, Drew?" Marina called out. Before Drew could speak, Bruce stepped in front of him. "I will!" He spun the chair and Marina giggled. She didn't know how he felt,but she was sure she had feelings for him.
"Do you guys wanna go outside and play the Walking dead?" Marina and Bruce both watch the Walking Dead ever Sunday when it came on. "Yeah! Lets go!" Marina said. "First we have to figure out who the zombie will be." Marina had a hard time running, and Bruce knew that. "It can't be Marina. She has kidney stones. I'll be it." He always took her feelings into consideration. No matter what.
