She is stuck staring as the asteroid passes through the atmosphere and increases with size until it painfully collides with the earth. The ground rumbles around her and she is flung backwards and staged down by gravity. At first she can't comprehend what's happening but soon she is jumping to her feet; but she is the only one. The rest continue to lay where they fell and Death is visible caressing each before claiming them as his own. She stumbles backwards in shock and collides with something. A something with a gasping breath and rugged heart beat. She slowly swivels around on the balls of her feet and stares up into their face....
